I ran as fast as my huge feet could carry me. Nothing was going to keep me from being as close to the stage as possible. After two years of saving up, sleepless nights, tons of phone calls, and a very fucked up credit score, I finally got my pit ticket to see the band that helped me make it out alive, 5 Seconds of Summer. Yeah, music snobs say I'm "just another fangirl" and its "stupid and juvenile" to love this band so much. Yet here I stand, about to piss myself from excitement, standing six feet away from where, hopefully, Michael will be blessing me with his melodic voice. I feel as another girl starts to push me into the barrier, or was it two? Three? There were so many girls craving a spot at the front. I held my ground, wrapping my arms around the metal bars, refusing to move. Some girl shot me a dirty look as she gave up pushing. Should have ran doll.
"Fucking fatass, you shouldn't be in front. They wont be able to see the rest of the audience." She spat at me. Appalled, I smiled, and took a big bite out of my hot dog that I picked up for my friend and I to share. We didn't want to pass out.
"Good. I'm all he needs to see." I winked at her as she scoffed and began to move closer to where Luke would be. He's into that right? Problematic and rude? Yeah. Seems accurate.
After what felt like forever, my best friend, Graham, came back from the bathroom. It took him long enough, it was starting to get sweaty and the main acts haven't even come out yet.
"Hey! Bitch! Hoe! Skank! Halia! Damnit why dont you hear me calling you?!" He shouted over the mass of fans. I held onto the rail with one hand and I reached out for him with the other.
"Grab on bitch muffin!" He grabbed my hand and I pulled him in. His messy black hair was freshly tousled, his eyes lined with brown eyeliner, and his contour was on deck. He was here for Luke too.
"What took so long? I had to defeat Voldemort over there just to keep you a spot." I gestured to the girl from earlier, her dark hair moved as she talked to another group of girls. I guess she was famous too?
"I met this cute guy on my way back, look," he rolled up his bomber sleeve," i got his cell." I looked up at him and hugged him.
"Okay killer, I'll let it pass, but just this once!" I smiled and he winked at me. We burst out laughing, drawing attention from a lot of people. I saw movement from the corner of my eye by the catwalk. Oh well.
It was the longest half our of my life. But then again, before I knew it, the openers were done. They were kind of loud, but okay I guess. I wasn't here for them anyways. The brief intermission dragged on, but soon the crowd started singing "We will rock you" when suddenly the lights went out. It was pitch black, everyone was surprised and fell silent.
Bang
Ba-da-ba-da-bang
Bang bang bANG BANG BANG TSSSsss
The sounds of the symbols crashing were soon drowned out by the screaming souls of over ten thousand fans. Ashton has entered. Here we go.

I went insane that night. It felt like I literally lost my mind. I felt so intensely taken over by the sound of the bass, resonating in my soul. I smiled as I remembered the way Michael smiled as he played my favorite song, Voodoo Doll. I swore he looked right at me during Beside You, I mean, even Graham did. When Calum was on the catwalk for his solo, he looked so beautiful, so calm and peaceful. The way his brown skin moved and tensed as he changed chords. It was too much for me, Graham had to hold me.
I smiled to myself, lost in thought, and I reached for the door of my favorite little coffee shop. Only my hand wasn't the only one on the knob.
"Oh, sorry," I muttered embarrassed as I backed away to let the stranger in. I stared at my feet, feeling blood rush to my cheeks.
