Screams filled the air of pentagram city in the midst of another yearly extermination currently happening. An event in which angels from heaven descend, not bearing gifts but death to those unfortunate enough to be a spotted. The red skies are littered with exorcists left and right, picking off any and all that roam the streets.

Watching all this from an apartment window was a boy who looks to be in his early 20s. His (E/C) eyes leering sorrowfully outside as he sees his fellow sinners all perish from the hands of those holy beings. Sighing he ran his hands through his (H/C) hair and closed the curtains, making his way to his bed and laying down.

His thoughts going around why this whole thing has to happen. He understands that most of the demons in hell deserve to perish, but isn't being in hell enough? And what of those who are actually trying to make a life? It's sad to see so many innocent souls be executed just because they are sent here.

He was brought out of his thoughts when the bell rang signalling the end of the extermination. The boy slowly stood up from his bed and started to get himself ready to go outside.

After putting on some proper clothing and preparing himself, he went outside his apartment and started to walk the streets to help out anyone who may be in trouble, either because of the extermination itself or the turf wars that happen afterwards.

Looking around where he was, he saw almost everyone going outside their houses and cleaning up. Some helping each other out while others were doing their own thing. He then noticed a sinner struggling to hold up a broken sign and quickly went to their aid, putting his hands on the other side of it before it can fall to the ground. The two of them then placed it on top of the shop before taking a step back to see how it looks. "---y and Bob's Flowers" was written on it, with some of the words now missing due to it being broken.

"Thanks (Y/N)" The sinner who looks to be in his mid 30s said, genuinely greatful to the boy next to him.

"No problem Bob, do you need help with anything else?" The boy named (Y/N) replied with a sad smile looking at the broken part of the sign.

"Heh, i think i can manage from here" the man replied putting a hand on (Y/N)'s shoulder and giving him a smile. "And besides, im sure there are other sinners out there that need your help more than i do" He continued, gesturing his head further into the city.

(Y/N) looked hesitant for a moment before nodding and making his way to help out more sinners.

*Timeskip*

Aiding sinners definitely has alot of mixed reactions, most think your looking for something in return, some straight up refuse in the rudest way possible, while there are those who would take advantage of things. Although (Y/N) is used to it, because he's done this before, and he's just glad he can help out even if it's such a small thing.

He was currently making his way back home when he saw a shadow stumbling down an alleyway he was about to pass. Curious he slowly made his way towards the figure, cautiously getting closer and closer and readying himself in the case of a trap.

But as the figure came to clear view, he noticed that it was girl with grey skin, white hair, a reddish sclera and yellow eye, wearing white clothing. What really got his attention was that her left eye was missing and she seemed to be in very bad condition.

Seeing this he wasted no time at all in trying to tend to her. The girl noticed him approaching and tensed up before trying to move away.

"Hey hey, it's ok... Im not ganna hurt you" (Y/N) said softening his voice and putting his hands up to try and calm her down. "Im here to help..." He finishes with a small genuine smile.

This seemed to have worked as the girl calmed down abit and allowed him to get closer. Although still visibly cautious with the boy infront of her, she couldn't help but feel comfort when she saw his smile. It was welcoming and it made her feel warm inside.

(Y/N) got closer to her and started to inspect her left eye, it was bleeding and it really needed medical attention. He was surprised she was able to pull through for this long. Holding out his right hand, yellow light starts to emanate from it.

The girl noticed this and started to get worried of what's going on. (Y/N) seeing this gave her a reassuring smile. "Is it ok if i put my hand over the wound? I can't really heal it fully at the moment, but i can atleast stop the blood from flowing out until we get somewhere safer to patch you up fully." He explained to her to try and ease her worries.

Too exhausted to speak, the girl simply nodded her head "yes" and slightly leaned in. She felt tense and didn't know what was going to happen. But all her worries seem to disappear as (Y/N)'s glowing hand made contact with her skin. She didn't know why, but it felt nice and unconsciously leaned into. She started to feel her energy slowly being replenished and the pain in her left eye disappear completely. A few seconds of silence followed before (Y/N) retracted his hands slowly and checked to see if the bleeding has stopped.

"Alright, i think that will do for now... We should probably get going befo--" He didn't get finish his sentence after feeling a presence at the entrance of the alleyway. 'Seems we've spent too long here' he thought knowing fully well not to be out too much, specially after an extermination. Demons going around looking for easy pickings, taking advantage of those that have been injured in the frey.

The girl noticed his change in demeanor and knew that something was up. He helped her get to her feet as both of them looked at the entrance of the alley, wary of the situation they're in.

"You should run, ill... Slow them down" (Y/N) said not taking his eyes off the entrance.

She looked at him in shock before finding her voice. "What? No. Im not just ganna leave you here, i can help." She replied with a worried expression on her face.

"Your still not fully healed, nor do you have enough energy to fight right now. So please, we don't have much time left." He reasoned with a hint of urgency present in his voice.

The girl looked hesitant and unsure of what to do. Noticing this (Y/N) placed his hand on her shoulder and smiled softly at her. "Ill be fine... This isn't the first time that this has happened." he reassured her.

She looked at him conflicted and sighed, knowing that there was no convincing him out of this. She nodded her head and started to make her way over the wall at the end of the alley. She looked back at him for a few more seconds before climbing to the other side of it.

(Y/N) made sure she was gone before sighing and facing the entrance once more. Shadowy figures start to emerge, multiple red eyes and sharp teeth looking straight at him menacingly. He stares back at them before his eyes widen in realization and horror.

"Wait..."

"Phew! I wasn't too late" (Y/N) said walking out of a convenient store holding a few bags of groceries.

'Man, has it been quite the day. I hope that girl made it somewhere safe, she seemed quite new to hell given her reactions.' He thought and started to look back at the scene in the alleyway. Her injuries, the reaction, how she looks, and most importantly... Her gold colored blood.

"How curious"
