Married.

This is it, we're married?

Shi Nan looked at the freshly issued marriage certificate in his hand, indeed, he had just gotten married.

To someone he had only met three, no, four times.

When Shi Nan's dad was hospitalized, Song Linsheng happened to be volunteering at the hospital, and that's where they met in his dad's hospital room.

The first time they met, they nodded in greeting to each other. The second time, they exchanged names. The third time, they had a pleasant conversation. The fourth time, they decided to get married. The fifth time...

Yes, this was the fifth time they had met, and they got the marriage certificate.

Shi Nan glanced at the man standing beside him. The man was very tall. Even at 1.83 meters, Shi Nan felt short standing next to him. He estimated the man to be around 1.9 meters tall.

"Congratulations on getting married," Shi Nan said.

"Congratulations," Song Linsheng replied, looking down at his phone without lifting his head.

"I don't see you being particularly happy about it?" Shi Nan teased.

Song Linsheng finally looked up at him, his brows slightly furrowed, and asked seriously, "How do you define happiness?"

"Hmm..." Shi Nan thought for a moment, then gestured with his thumb and forefinger near his mouth, "By smiling."

Song Linsheng looked at him expressionlessly for a while before making a forced smile.

Shi Nan burst into laughter.

"Let's have a meal together," Song Linsheng suggested.

"Sure."

Song Linsheng chose a buffet restaurant. There were quite a few people when they arrived, so they had to wait for a while to be seated.

This was their second meal together.

The last time they had eaten together was when they had discussed getting married. They had hot pot that time. When Song Linsheng asked if he could handle spicy food, Shi Nan said he loved it, so they ordered a spicy hot pot.

Shi Nan enjoyed the meal immensely. It wasn't until he noticed Song Linsheng sweating profusely and his lips swollen that he realized they had almost finished.

Shi Nan was quite speechless and asked him, "Why didn't you say you couldn't handle spicy food?"

At that time, Song Linsheng replied, "I heard people who eat spicy hot pot don't like having a divided pot."

Shi Nan felt this person was completely clueless.

This time, Shi Nan gestured towards the entire restaurant, "Mr. Song, you can eat whatever you want, no need to accommodate me."

Song Linsheng probably recalled the last incident, feeling a bit embarrassed perhaps, and remained silent.

Shi Nan raised an eyebrow and suddenly leaned closer, looking up at him, "What's wrong, feeling sorry?"

Song Linsheng lowered his eyes to meet Shi Nan's clear eyes, then suddenly reached out and tapped Shi Nan's shoulder, "Come on, let's go. Today, let's have hot pot again, the spicy one."

"No, no, no," Shi Nan quickly dodged his hand, smiling apologetically, "My bad, let's stick to the buffet, we've already paid."

Although they weren't very familiar with each other, Shi Nan was outgoing, and Song Linsheng, though more silent, seemed compatible in personality. Regardless of whether he responded to Shi Nan's words or not, Shi Nan felt quite comfortable around him, not awkward.

After dinner, it was already past eight in the evening. Neither of them had brought their cars, so Song Linsheng took out his phone to call a taxi.

Song Linsheng looked down at his phone and then turned to ask Shi Nan, "What's your home address?"

After Shi Nan mentioned the name of the residential area, he suddenly remembered the issue of where they would live.

During their discussion about getting married, they had talked about this issue. Shi Nan had a house that he bought with a loan, while Song Linsheng was currently renting. So Shi Nan thought it would be more suitable for Song Linsheng to move in with him, which would also save him from paying another rent.

"When do you plan to move in with me?" Shi Nan asked Song Linsheng.

Song Linsheng paused for a moment, then said,"I haven't settled the matters regarding my house yet. Once it's sorted out, I'll let you know in advance."

"Okay." Shi Nan thought he should tidy up his messy place these days. He couldn't lose face.

The taxi arrived, and after Shi Nan got in, he waved to Song Linsheng and said goodbye.

As the car drove away, Shi Nan looked back and saw Song Linsheng still standing in the same spot, his body facing the direction the taxi was heading.

Shi Nan smiled. Although this marriage seemed a bit hasty and the other party's conditions didn't seem great – low income, no house for the time being—Shi Nan didn't think his own situation was that great either, after all, he still had thirty years of mortgage to bear. Living frugally together in the future shouldn't be too financially tight.

That's how fate works, a glance can mean eternity.

The taxi carrying Song Linsheng stopped outside the Crown Palace Residential Area. Song Linsheng lowered the window, and the security guard, seeing him, greeted him, "Mr. Song, you're back."

Song Linsheng nodded indifferently, and the guard opened the gate. The taxi drove in and dropped Song Linsheng off at the entrance of the apartment building.

Crown Palace was a famous residential area in City A, where the residents were either rich or wealthy. The price of a house here ranged from several million to several billion.

Returning to his duplex penthouse on the top floor, Song Linsheng took a shower first.

After coming out of the shower, Song Linsheng dried his hair while picking up the little red book. Inside, Shi Nan's smiling face with his head tilted, look innocent and bright, made him feel much better.

"Shi Nan," Song Linsheng murmured softly, "Marriage, happiness.
