Sana gazed at the paintings in the exhibition. It was a narrow corridor that led to a final painting that was covered with a red cloak.
It was all just paintings of her. A painting of her dancing around. Sana chuckled. He had caught her with her headphones on in her room, attempting to dance and failing miserably, once.
There was a painting of her among flowers. A blurred version of her face. So many paintings of her. She examined each one closely, memorising all its details and then moving to the next.
It took her half an hour to reach the final painting. By this time, the cloak had been removed. It was a painting of her in the tulip field. A painting of her turned slightly back to meet the eyes of the artist, amidst a field of beautiful tulips.
Suddenly, she felt a presence beside her.
"This entire exhibition is just paintings of me. I'm flattered." Sana remarked.
"You've painted vibrant hues in my life, Sana. The least I could do is dedicate an exhibition to just you."
Her heart fluttered. "Say, what's the price for this painting?"
"It's not for sale."
Sana met Shrest's eyes. "Not even for your girlfriend?"
"Especially not for my girlfriend. Because it's already under my girlfriend's ownership."
Sana couldn't remove the grin from her face. "You're getting more and more cheesier with time. Who did you learn all these lines from?"
Shrest made no response. He had learnt it from his brother.
He simply slipped his fingers into hers and gripped them. "After the exhibition, come to the art studio."
Sana blinked in surprise. "You're letting me into your studio room?"
"You are always welcome there."
"I thought artists had something against people entering their studio."
"That is true. But I have nothing against you entering my studio."
Many people attended the exhibition. Anu and Vineet arrived first. As soon as they came in, Anu gripped Sana's hand and demanded she tell her how the two began dating. Then, Shrest's parents came.
Sana smiled as Nina hugged her son and told him that she was proud of him. Shrest had smiled warmly at that. The mother-son duo were finally getting along.
Then, Vihan and Mani came. Sana stared at the two, her gaze lingering on their intertwined hands.
"What in the world happened here?"
Vihan looked at her, sheepishly. "I might be a little in love with your sister."
Sana turned her eyes to her sister.
Mani grinned, sheepishly. "I might be in love with him too."
The hell?
