~an hour later~

For Rosie this was bliss. She had been dating Riley for almost six years. Every night she dreamed of Riley kissing her, but she was always in a big white wedding dress and he was in a tux. In the dream she would walk down the dirt isle in the middle of a corn field, her feet clad in her best cowgirl boots. Riley would have a cowboy hat on over his soft blond hair, his blue eyes gleaming in the June sun setting behind him.

All she had to do was close her eyes to picture it. Now just the thought that her dreams would come true was all it took to make her smile. "Riley, this is the happiest day of my life, for now. I don't care about when the wedding is, I just need to know that I love you and soon you will be all mine. Riley, I love you." As she spoke her eyes filled with tears threatening to spill.

"Don't cry my sweet," as Riley spoke he gently wiped her tears with his thumb. "You are always safe with me, I am here to protect you forever, Rosie, I will never leave. Don't be afraid."

Rosie's heart began to beat faster. "Silly boy, I cry tears of happiness, not sadness. I know you will protect me forever. I feel the warmth and strength in your arms around me, Riley. I see the hunger in your eye when you want to kiss me. I hear your heart beat faster, building in your chest when someone hurts me, I know that it makes you want to hurt them, but I won't let you because it's my battle. From now on your job is to love me. Can you do that?"

"For you, Rosie, I will." The two love birds got into Riley's car, and drove to Rosie's parents house to tell them that their little girl was getting married.

Once at the house, they saw that Rosie's older sister, Courtney, was visiting from Sonic, Kansas. "This is awesome! I can tell sissy to. I always wanted her to be a bridesmaid!" Exclaimed Rosie. Rosie did not know that it would be a bad thing to tell her sister.

That was when the night went bad.
