Will came into the room crying
He hugged me and I was very confused
He looked at me and said "your dad doesn't want us to date, I asked him and he said no, but I can date Hazel. I don't want to date Hazel I want to date you!"
"Calm down! Did he say if there was a way we can date, 'cause knowing him there would be a way." I said optimistically, and I'm never optimistic
"He said you have to go to him and give him a good reason why he should let me date you."
"Ok that's easy."

—time skip, Rowan's dad says to be good to your friends and family —['-']— —

"Dad you have to let me date Will! I love him!" I say after me and Will came up with a long list of reasons why I should date Will
"And why should I let you do that, you just met him a week ago and you're sick so your judgment is a little off."
"He's been good to me, he makes me happy, I'm more WILLing to do stuff, after mom died he helped me cope, and just think about what mom would want!" I said adding more reasons on the spot
"Do not bring your mom up! She is the reason you can't date Will! I don't want to lose you like I lost Bianca and your mom and Hazels mom!"
"Then why are you letting Hazel date people?"
He went quiet
"WHY DO YOU LIKE HER SO MUCH?"
"Nico, calm down-"
"CALM DOWN? YOUR LETTING HAZEL DATE AND YOU DONT LET ME! IM RESPONSIBLE!"
"Nico, I love you the most of all my children, I want to keep you close so I don't lose you. I protected you at the hospital. You know that ring I gave you the day your sister died? I said it was your sisters, but I made it for you, to protect you!"

__flash back__

It was a cold winter day and I was waiting for Bianca to come out of the middle school. I was in grade five, her in grade eight. I kept waiting. Then I got a text message from my dad

Where are you?

Nico
Waiting for Bianca

Dad
Come home
I need to tell you something

Nico
I'll be there soon

I waited another half hour for Bianca, but my dad drove up
"Nico! Thank all the gods you're alive! Get in the car we are going home."
I got in the car
"Bianca had an accident, she went on that field trip today and she couldn't stop. She skied off the cliff and she is at the hospital now."
"Then let's go to the hospital!"
"Nico, she's dead, I got a message half an hour ago that she is dead. She would have wanted you to have this"
He put a skull ring in my hand
"No! I don't believe you!"
The car stopped in our driveway and I grabbed my bag and ran to the park, a block and a half away.
I say a boy about Bianca's age on one of the swings
He sees me sit on a bench and lay down, bag under head
"Do you need somewhere to sleep?" The boy asks
"I can't go home." I says
"I'm Percy Jackson, what's your name?"
"Nico, Nico di Angelo."
"You can come to my house."
"Sure."
We walk to his apartment
He enters and calls "mom, I'm home!"
A lady walks in and sees me "who might you be?"
Percy says "this is Nico! He needs a place to stay!"
So I stayed for a few weeks before I wanted to go home

_flash back over__

"Nico! Are you listening?"
"Huh..? Ya ya."
"Nico?"
"I'm going to date Will,even if I don't have permission from you!"

—time skip, Rowan's best friend says that. Candy is not healthy /(^_^)\ —

"We got permission to date! Nico? Are you ok?"
"Ya, he just brought up my worst memory."
"We should go on a date to celebrate!" Will states understanding that I don't want to talk about it

—time skip, Rowan's significant annoyance says hi /[+=+]\ —

When we got to the movies we payed for the tickets and snacks
We went and found our seats and watched the movie

—time skip, Rowan's uncle says to treat others with respect —[*~*]— (but he's a hypocrite.)—

After the movie we talked about how good it was
"I liked the part where ________."
"Me too!"
Then we went to the park where I meet Percy (Wills idea, he doesn't know that it brings back bad memories.)
I tense up a lot
Will must have noticed 'cause he hugged me "are you ok? Do you need anything?"
"No, not really."
"There's something wrong, I can tell. You can trust me."
"This is the park I ran to after my sister died."
"We can go home then."
"No. It's fine. If this is where you want to be then it's where I want to be."
"There are other parks too."
"I'm good, you don't need to worry about me."

—time skip, Rowan's aunt says to eat your vegetables—<•~•>— —

When I got home my dad was waiting for me
"He doesn't have the decency of walking you home?"
"I walked him home 'cause his house is on the way here."
He sighed in defeat "I at lest want to ask him some questions." He pleaded
"No!"
"Why not?"
"It wastes our time!"
"One day?"
"Fine, maybe tomorrow?"
"I have time." He says after checking his calendar

—time skip, Rowan's great grandmother says to eat your meal /{*~*}\ —

I woke up and was late for school with almost a million texts from Will
I hurried to school and ran to the office
"I'd like a late slip."
"Why are you late?" A lady asked me
"I had a... dentist appointment?"
"Are you sure?" She made me feel bad for trying to lye
"No, I slept in."
She filled out the late slip
I rushed to class
Will saw me and sighed as if relieved
