For the past three days ~

You had locked yourself in your dorm, ignoring choso's knocks and everyone. Almost ignoring them and you've never seen their faces in five days straight. It was like you were a completely different person.

Shibuya was traumatizing.

No one knew what you were doing, not even yourself. But one thing was for sure, you felt numb, empty, and lost. It was like a dark cloud had engulfed you, and there was no way out.

The others, including itadori, maki, panda, yuki, toge, and yuta, were also concerned especially choso and megumi. Even itadori and panda had the attempt to break your door just to see you but maki scolded them not wanting to cause any problem and knowing that you needed some space.

But that doesn't end there, itadori had tried to climb up to your window but ended up falling. So nothing worked. Choso, he had always made sure to stop by and stand next to your door for almost an hour or two just in case you decided to show up, but no.

Knock

"Y/n?"

No answer.

"Is everything okay? Please talk to us!"

No answer.

"Open the door."

Silence.

————

Moonlight spilled through the paper walls, painting the tatami floor silver. You sat curled up on your futon, knees pulled tight to your chest, lost in a world only you could see. The silence of the night pressed in, thick and heavy.

A long, drawn-out sigh escaped your lips as you finally broke free of your thoughts. "What am I even doing?" you mumbled, the words barely a whisper in the stillness.

A chilling laugh sliced through the quiet, Sukuna's grotesque mouth twisting your cheek into a cruel parody of a smile. "Heh. Makes you wonder why I bothered with a weakling brat like you. That other brat, Itadori, had more fire." His voice dripped with venomous amusement.

You burrowed deeper into your pillow, stifling a groan. "Give me a break, will you?— tch of course no."

Sukuna, of course, ignored you. His insults continued, a steady stream of poison aimed to wound. You were used to it, mostly. But tonight, each barb dug a little deeper, exhaustion pulling at you like a heavy cloak.

Finally, unable to hold it in any longer, you buried your face in your pillow and screamed, a raw, desperate sound that held all the frustration, the fear, the sheer bone-deep weariness of carrying a curse.

Everyone was sprawled out on a giant mattress, chilling in the middle of what they called a living room. Suddenly, a bloodcurdling scream ripped through the air from down the hallway. Everyone's heads shot up like startled cats.

"Hold up, was that Y/n?" Choso's eyes were practically popping out of his head as he scrambled to his feet.

"What's going on?" Even Yuji, usually the epitome of chill, looked worried.

"She's the only one out there," Megumi muttered.

Nobody needed to say another word. They bolted out of the room and down the hall, a whirlwind of worried chaos. The hallway was dead silent, which just made the whole thing creepier. As they got closer to your room, the screaming got louder, echoing off the walls like a bad omen.
