Kiro POV

I was in my office reading the latest issue of Something is Killing the Children.I was currently on volume 4. As I turned the last page I put the book back on my desk. It was my day off doing chores, cleaning my hobby room, model building and other things. I finish up cleaning my glasses. I looked at my calendar and saw it was August 28. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed the basket off the counter and exit my house.

I was now in the town market as it was the time I met Ichigo.

"So whose the lucky?" The vendor asked

"Oh no it's not a romantic picnic but it is special occasion." I said handing her the money

I walk off. I then pass the wall of heroes and close my eyes.

3rd POV

Flashback 14 years ago

I was perched on tree as I saw an old man meditating. He looked so peaceful. So calm. I unsheathe my dagger ready strike. I launch myself at him. He must have sensed me as he grabbed my arm and pinned me to the ground. He had my dagger in his hands ready to kill me. I closed my eyes awaiting for my death. However I opened my eyes and saw the dagger inches away from my face. I see the old man smiling.

"You should know better than to sneak up on me Kiro." He smirked

"I know grandpa." I groaned

He helps me up and dust me off.

"What are you doing? I thought you would be on your game." Grandpa spoke

"I wanted to spend time with you. You're always either here on on clan business. You should be relaxing at your age." I spoke

"HAHA! Just like your father. I was just finishing meditating. How about we have lunch?" He asked

"Okay!" I beamed

He then picks me up and puts me on his shoulders.

Present

I smile as I continue walking through the neighborhood.  Suddenly a ball rolls to my feet.

"Hey mister!" A voice shouted.

"Can we have our ball back." The kid ask

I pick up the ball and shoot it and it lands through the hoop.

"woah!" Kid #2

"That was awesome!" Kid#3

I smiled.

"Hey you kids knock that off!" The karen complained

Not on my watch.

"Ma'am is one of the kids your child?" I asked

"Excuse you?" She sneered

"These kids are doing nothing but playing in a public park harassing nobody. But here you are a grown woman being confrontational with children. It's people like you why kids don't trust adults. You could kind to them like offering water, snacks or being concerned for their safety. But no you choose to badger those who can't fight back. So do me a favor and mind the business that pays you." I lectured

She scoffs as she walks away.

"Thanks mister." Kid #1 says

"No problem. Sorry you had to go through that. it's almost supper time. You should wrap your game before moms read you the riot." I joked

"He's right." Kid #2 said

They continued their game as I walked off.

The sun was beginning to set as I made it to a hill with a tree. It was a violet petal tree like the ones back in my village.
