Pokemon: The Myth. The Legend.

Chapter 2

Laura walks into the lab as she see's the older man with a white coat who was observing nearby pokemon and the man and the boy preparing the three Kanto starters for trainers. She looks at the pokemon one by one and after seeing the trio she turns to face the man with a white coat as she begins to introduce herself. She stands up straight and has a determined look on her face.

The oldest man introduced himself as Professor Oak, the one that was sketching introduced himself as Tracy and the third Gary.

Laura then speaks to Professor Oak.

Laura: Hi.. I'm Laura... I was told I could pick a starter Pokémon from you guys?

Professor Oak smiles at Laura and puts his hand on his white collar as he speaks.

Professor Oak: That's correct, you can have one of the three available starters. Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle.

he took a moment to look down at a few papers in front of him before continuing.

Professor Oak: If you already know which one you want then you can go straight over and choose it.

Laura thinks for a moment before answering.

Laura: I don't really know which one I want... I mean I don't really have a preference.

Laura thought to herself. Should she just pick one to make things easier? Laura began to speak again.

Laura: Can I ask you a question..?

Professor Oak looked a little surprised that Laura had decided not to pick a starter Pokémon.

He began to speak.

Professor Oak: Of course you can Laura, what is it that you would like to ask?

Laura paused looking down at the floor before speaking again.

Laura: Do you know Ash Ketchum?

Professor Oak thought for a moment in before turning to look at his assistants.

Professor Oak: It's been a while since I heard that name... may I ask how come you wish to know of him?

At the mention of Ash, Tracy looked up from his drawings and Gary became more interested.

Laura's heart rate shot up she could sense the change in atmosphere of the room. She could hear Gary and Tracy become more interested when she mentioned Ash.
She got a little more shy when she spoke again her confidence from before beginning to dwindle.

Laura: I uhm... I've always been told stories about him..

Laura paused for a few seconds.

Laura: I've always thought he was... real... though most of my friends and other adults like my parents said it was just a myth, a legend. That there is no way a 10 year old could die 6 times and save the world multiple times in each region. Fought against every criminal team out there and other hunters. It felt real to me, it felt like he was real to me... and I want to believe that he is because if he is I can find him

Laura paused for a second to collect her thoughts.

Laura: But... do you know if he's real?

Professor oak continued to stare at her with a curious look on his face.

Professor Oak: So you believe he's real?
