"Oh my how much I love Kyoto! Dont you just love it Akeno?!"

A young woman around the age of thirteen with crimson red hair spun around in the center of a bustling market place, as faceless people passed by while across from her a raven haired girl who despite her robust and more mature appearance was actually the same age looked on with a small smile on her face.

"Wait! Don't answer that! You obviously do!"

The redhead took a deep breath inhaling the smell of the city with a small pleased look, as she took in the smell of the nearby countryside which would be impossible for a normal human. But this girl was anything but human, she was infact a devil and not just a plain ole devil she was Rias Gremory. A noble devil from a house that sits comfortably upon the hierarchy of the underworld.

Rias smiled from ear to ear with a giddy sense of eagerness, almost like a deranged animal foaming at the mouth as she pointed out historical landmarks, and essentially ransacked every Manga shop or book store that unfortunately was in her way.

After hours of shopping and sightseeing the sun began to set casting a soft glow of orange throughout Kyoto, as Rias sat on the porch of a shrine while her friend Akeno was busy inside. A little known fact, is that Akeno herself could be considered a Miko by some because of her upbringing in which she spent the first seven years of her life living in a shrine with her mother and father.

But because of circumstances beyond her comprehension at the time quickly put an end to that chapter of her life which turned the page while opening a whole new world to live and thrive in.

Rias however found shinto shrines boring and not really fun but considered them to be a battle she needed to endure for her best friends sake. But with day coming to and end, and the city of Kyoto blossoming into a beautiful sight of night, she got more and more impatient as minutes turned into hours of sitting.

She puffed air out her mouth playing with a stray bang that constantly bugged her, and she looked back into the shrine. Where she saw Akeno with a group of Miko's enjoying a cup of tea, and Rias let out a groan. She flopped back onto the wood porch with a growing sense of impatience.

Suddenly she remembered the insanely large stack of Manga and LN's she bought, and she sat up swiftly and grabbed a random one from her pile.

Rias read the Manga with a small smile on her face, as she turned the page every so often. A tug on her hair broke her concentration, and she looked behind her to see a young man with spiky black hair wearing an orange gi holding a handful of her hair.

"Wow, your hair is so soft and it smells like strawberries! How is it so red?"

"Kyaaaaaaaa!"

Rias freaked out, and without a second thought swung her hand holding the book and smacked the unknown boy square on the nose.

"Ouch! What did you do that for!"

The boy held his nose between his hands, as it already started to turn a but red. He rubbed it softly trying to sooth the slight pain away, as Rias stood up and spun around instantly taking a defensive fighting stance.

"You're lucky thats all I did! Who the hell starts playing with someone's hair without asking for permission!"

Rias' cheeks were beet red as she stared daggers at her unknown assailant. Now that she had an actual chance to get a good look at him, she couldn't help but take note of his facial features which she couldn't deny were rather cute in a rustic and wild way. She saw that despite his obvious age & the loose fixed orange & blue Gi that this boy kept himself in good physical shape. A more surprising thing that she noticed was the boy was actually hanging from the rafters upside down by a long brown monkey tail.
