A world to explore on your own - or with someone special. Wouldn't that be nice Mina?

"MINA!! We are going to the movie theaters, want to tag along?" Jordan asked.

"No, I think I'm going to study a bit more.." Mina said.

"STUDYING AGAIN? You need to get out more, we'll catch up later see-ya!" Jordan said. Mina was the type to forget to eat because she spent her whole day studying or reading. She is studying astronomy and is fascinated with the unknown sky. Of course, she is also interested in many other things like nature and animals. But one thing is clear. She was very determined to become an astronomer.

Mina packed her pink messenger bag with pencils and her notebooks. She needed a change of atmosphere. She was off to the library. When her room felt too small she went to the library. On her way there she seemed to recognize someone. Yes! It was Bella from high school. She never talked to her. No one did. Curiosity filled Mina and greeted Bella.

"Bella?" Mina asked trying to confirm if it was Bella.

"Oh hi!.. You are Mina?" Bella asked in uncertainty.

"Yes! I haven't seen you in so long. What are you up to these days?" Mina asked.

"Oh... Not much just came to visit my mother." Bella said.

"Wow! You moved out of town, I wish I could." Mina exclaimed

"Yes far away actually, I rarely come here." Bella said.

"I wish I could move far. Where are you headed too?" Mina asked.

"The library, I wanted to check out a book. There seems to be no library where I live. This library brings back many memories." Bella said.

They both headed to the library. On their way there they talked about how their high school teachers were strict but chill. Mina was not sure to ask how Bella's high school experience was since no one talked to her. Bella never made a friend. This was strange for her. Mina always wondered why Bella had no friends, she was beautiful. She looks just like a fairy. Her eyes had this dark green touch to them, and she had very long lashes, her hair was silky and long. Her style too! Likewise, her clothes and outfits would be accessorized with flower jewelry and many pearls. They arrived at the library and they both did what they came for. Mina offered to get some coffee after they both finished what they were doing. Bella agreed and went off to read.

If you got to know Mina you would know she is obsessed with anything space-related. Her older sister once got her a telescope and explained a bit of astronomy to Mina when she was 10. Mina felt like she found what she was missing in life. She wanted to know more. What was beyond? The unknowingness of space filled Mina's head. The next day Mina begged her parents to get her space-related books. Her parents agreed to get her a few books. The obsession began.

Hours were filled with reading about space and looking through her telescope. She spent more time when she got her first laptop. She began to do non-stop research. It was not until high school she realized she needed to learn math if she wanted to become an astronomer. She made sure she could do everything possible to become an astronomer.

She did not want Bella to wait a long time for her, so she wrapped up and asked Bella is she was ready to go. But she noticed something odd. It was as if she saw light coming from the books. No. She just imagined it. She thought to herself.

"Hey, sorry if I interrupted, but I'm ready to go, are you? No rush if you aren't." Mina asked.

"Oh! Yes, I am." Bella said surprised.

They both walked to a café not exchanging many words. They both were not sure what to talk about. The café was Mina's favorite. It had her favorite croissant. Bella was not sure what to get as she had never gone to a café so they both ordered the same thing.

An awkward silence filled the table. Bella was not used to this. She does not have friends and barely talks to anyone. It has been like this for as long as she can remember. Her parents not being there did not make things better. Mina tried to break the awkward silence by asking a question.

"So what do you now?" asked Mina.

"I seem to travel a lot. Also, my apologies if this is awkward I'm not used to talking casually," said Bella.

"No worries! I saw you were often alone during class," said Mina.

"Yes I would like to make a friend but no one seems to come up to me, maybe I'm just too awkward," said Bella.

"No, you aren't used to talking to people that's all! And I would love to be your friend! But one thing about me is I would talk about space all day." Said Mina

"Haha, space. It is very interesting. The undiscovered places pique my interest." said Bella

"I would love to be friends too!" Bella said as well.

"Great! Now you got me talking about space oh no!" said Mina.

They both talked about space without realizing hours had gone by. They got along very well. Bella felt some sort of feeling she never felt. Joy. She was very happy she could talk to someone so casually. She never knew it felt good. They both realized it was getting dark outside, and it was time to go. They exchanged numbers and went off to their homes.
