"My god! Where have you been?" Jordan asked.
"I was out studying and saw an old classmate". Mina said.
"I see you went to have fun without us." Jordan said jokingly.
"Haha, I just happened to see her that's all." Mina said.
"Oh! That is right. I forgot to tell you. Me, Liv, and Priya are going camping in a week want to come?" Jordan asked.
"Yes!! The sky view there is amazing! Will it be alright to invite one person?" Mina said.
"Feel free to invite anyone you want! The more people the less scary it is at night." Jordan said with a smile.
Mina wanted to invite Bella. Although they were not close she felt sorta bad that Bella had no one to talk to. Maybe this will make her more social. It was too late to ask, so Mina decided that she would ask Bella the next day. She got ready for bed. She went to lie down and closed her eyes. Mina did not have dreams often, but this night was different.
Mina envisioned herself in a small cottage. It was white and had a wood rooftop. The house was overgrown with greenery. As she turned she saw someone reaching their hand towards her. She could not make out who it was. But she reached towards the hand and started walking to this beautiful field. It had a small pond. Flowers that did not exist. Flying whales...? Well, that is what she thought she saw. There were animals she could not recognize. They looked magical. The sun was setting and there were glowing fireflies. The sky was so beautiful. She could see a planet with a ring. Where was this place? This place felt like home.
As she turned to look whose hand she was holding she woke up.
"Aw, man!' Mina said sadly.
"I finally had a dream! It was beautiful. I want to go there now." Mina said to herself.
She wanted to go back to sleep, hoping that she would dream again but soon realized she had to go to class. She drew everything she saw, she was not the best at drawing but this dream...oh it must be remembered. It's not like she would forget the dream if she did not draw it. But she wanted to be reminded of this dream.
"I hope this dream exists somewhere out there," Mina whispered to herself.
"Gosh, I will be late if I don't hurry up!" Mina said.
Mina got ready to go to class. She had Astrophysics and Cosmology today. The classes were 3 hours long each. She did not mind how long the classes were. If she didn't go to classes she would study about space all day either way. After class ended she was tired and went to get some coffee. As she ordered her drink she remembered to ask Bella about camping. She went to reach for her phone and texted Bella. She asked if she wanted to meet up sometime soon. They both agreed they would meet tomorrow at the park.
The next day came by and Mina went to the park after school. Bella's days were filled with mysteries. She did not know what the day would bring. Bella would do many random activities throughout the day. One day she would mix up some herbs and make herbal teas. The next she would paint something. She was always up to something different. Today she did some community cleanup. It was as if she did not know what to do. Where she lived was a mystery. No one knew-but no one cared. Bella got to the park early.
"Ah! I hope I did not make you wake long." Mina said.
"No not at all," Bella said.
Bella got up and they both walked down the path.
"It is getting warmer isn't it?" Mina said.
"Yes, the leaves are starting to grow," Bella said.
"I love spring I can't wait for it!" Mina said.
"Each season is beautiful," Bella said.
"Yes! I wanted to meet up to ask if you would want to come camping with my friends." Mina said with a cute smile.
There was a pause.
"I know it is weird to ask someone you just started talking to, but I think you would like camping with my friends," Mina said.
There was another pause. Mina wasn't sure if to take that as a no. But in Bella's head, she was wondering if it was okay for her to go. Would it be okay to hang out with people you don't even know? Or go camping with them? She would love to go. She hasn't had something like this happen. Furthermore, she was filled with some sort of happiness.
"Ah, would I be a bother to you and your friends?" Bella said.
"Not at all! If that's what you are worried about. Don't worry my friends would love you!" Mina said.
"I would like to go then! Can you send me the details over text?" Bella said.
"Of course!" Mina said.
They both walked around the park. They did not talk a lot, but they were okay with that. The sun was setting, and it was time for them both to go back home. They both parted ways. Mina got home tired and was excited about the trip.
The date of the trip came so soon.
"Finally! Camping here I come." Jordan said.
"Haha! Excited?" Priya said.
"YES! I need to get out of this city." Liv said.
"Mina, is your friend coming?" Jordan asked.
"Yes, she's on her way," Mina said.
She was not sure if she was coming. Mina doubted she would come and say she could not make it at the last minute. But she received a text she was there.
She looked up but she saw her friends surprised. Bella saw their reaction and got embarrassed.
"Hi I'm Bella," She said shyly.
"WOW! Hi Bella you look pretty," Priya said.
They were all amazed by her beauty. Everyone seems to recognize it except Bella herself.
"Ah thank you, I thought there was something wrong, you were all staring I got quite scared," Bella said.
"No not at all," Priya said.
"Alright, we are all here let's go!" Jordan said.
