Chapter 15: One Year Anniversary

Nick's POV

Ashlynn and I are having our one year anniversary really soon, in fact, it was in a week... but, I'm so excited! I'm so happy that things have only gotten better in our relationship, I had only dreamed of her being my girlfriend, now we have been together for a year. A whole year. I couldn't believe it, it had been a whole year. The time had gone by so fast.

I knew that I had to get something planned, a big date, not just a movie theatre or McDonald's date... I had to get something big planned. I wasn't exactly sure what it was going to end up being but, it was going to be something good, something that she wouldn't be able to forget.

The Anniversary

Nick's POV

Tonight is the anniversary. I was so excited! I planned on going to this steak house in San Antonio. I saved up about $150 at least; I could not wait to surprise her with the fancy dinner date!

Ashlynn's POV

Mine and Nick's anniversary is tonight, I'm super excited! I bought him a new watch that was kind of expensive; I had saved up enough money so that way I would be able to get him something for our one year anniversary.

Nick said that he had a surprise planned for us tonight. I wasn't sure what it was going to be, it could literally be anything but, I knew that it was going to be amazing regardless of what it was, just because it was a gift and something that he was doing for me. Because I loved him.

Nick's POV

I went over to Ashlynn's house at about 6:30 P.M. so that way we could talk a little bit before, I wanted to head over to the steak house at about 7ish.

We talked for a little bit and then her parents dropped us off and we got there just after 7 o'clock. We started the date and I gave her the gift that I had bought, other than the surprise dinner date, I had bought her a bouquet of white roses with a red rose in the middle, along with a charm bracelet of different things that we did together like; a waterfall charm for our childhood meeting place and for the place that we had our first date, a picnic basket, also for our first date, a kitten for when we brought home the kittens and saved them, a heart that stood for the love that I had for her, and an infinity sign, that stood for the amount of time that I wanted to spend with her and the amount of love that I had towards her.

Ashlynn's POV

When we got to the restaurant, Nick gave me a bouquet of white roses and a red rose in the middle, it was so beautiful! When we sat down at our table, he gave me a small black box that was wrapped in ribbon stamped with hearts. I looked up at him and said "Nick... the restaurant and the roses were enough..." He just looked back at me and told me, "I know but, I love you so much and I really wanted to give you this."

I opened the box. I picked up what was inside and it was a charm bracelet, I loved charm bracelets! They were so romantic! I looked at the 5 charms on the bracelet. First one; a waterfall, oh my god, it was where we had our first date, and then also where we would always meet up as kids. Second one; picnic basket, what we did on our first date. Third one; a kitten, because we saved the kittens on our way back to his place. Fourth one; a heart, I'm guessing that it stood for the love he had for me. Fifth one; an infinity sign... what was this for?

"Hey Nick, what is the infinity sign standing for?" He replied, "It stands for the amount of time that I want to spend with you. And the amount of love that I have for you." When he finished he was blushing and so was I. But when he finished, I had instantly started crying. He came over and hugged me, and gave me a quick little kiss, "Nick, that is the sweetest thing ever, you seriously are the best boyfriend anyone could ever ask for."
