Chapter 7: Bitter Family Reunion

You and Pyrrha are meeting in the house with everyone, as you pulled up a holographic crime board.

Jaune: "Everyone that disappeared had something to say against the Sumeragi Family. Students, politicians, even those from villages."

Ruby: "And even though the Sumeragis have claimed they had nothing to do with them, criminals told us descriptions about a cloaked figure with a certain color pattern on part of their disguise that is similar to the ones used by the Sumeragi Family."

"So, all signs point to the Sumeragis."

Blake: "Yes, but it's not like we can just go up and ask them. Not only would they deny everything, but if they are indeed the ones responsible and find out about us, they'll come after us before we are even ready."

Ren: "We've faced many enemies before, but an entire powerful, influential family that has existed for centuries..."

Weiss: "...Is on a level higher than my dad and those in Atlas. And the Sumeragi Family does have way more intelligence than said families in Atlas."

Nora: "I'd say we investigate them the silent way. We sneak into their place, leave dummy footage to hide our tracks, and copy whatever is on their computers or something?"

Everyone looked at her in surprise.

Nora: "It was just an idea."

Everyone went to the Sumeragi Estate which is in the upper levels of Mistral, where you uploaded dummy footage into the system and the rest of the group entered the estate. They went up to a computer and you unlocked it.

As you began downloading the evidence, Jaune walked up to you with a question.

Jaune: "Hey, Y/N, how were you able to upload the dummy footage? And how did you know the password to this thing?"

A group of people entered the room and surrounded everyone.

Kira Sumeragi: "Because he is a member of this family, until he decided to go to Vale and was galivanting with you lot."

"And I was right. You are causing people to disappear."

Raiden Sumeragi: "Look at the state of Mistral. We are one of the oldest families and we are forced to deal with the fact that we must live with all these criminals that the council has allowed to govern Anima. We cannot make a change until there is nothing to stand in the way of our destiny for greatness. A destiny we laid out for you, Y/N."

"Screw your concept of destiny!"

Pyrrha: "Destiny is what we make of it!"

The Sumeragis pulled out their weapons and so did everyone else.

"Words mean nothing," you stated, proudly.

Pyrrha: "Not the first time we've dealt with this."

The groups charged at the Sumeragi Family and fought them. You and Pyrrha managed to incapacitate some of them before going to the family garden and seeing Raiden in the middle, waiting for you.

You and Pyrrha looked at each other before charging at him.
