Finnish-Soviet Border

The morning in the Socialist Motherland was characterized by a calm but cold climate, because winter had arrived in the Soviet Union. Despite the prevailing cold, people engaged in their daily activities, which included the performance of various roles within the Soviet system. Soviet workers continued with their assigned tasks, Soviet teachers taught their students, Soviet doctors examined their patients, Soviet scientists conducted research, Soviet troops were on standby, and many Soviet children played in the parks.

However, Georgy Andreanov, a Soviet border guard on duty at one of the guard posts near the Soviet-Finnish border, had a different perspective. He sat in his metal guardhouse, awaiting the crossing of individuals or objects across the border on the road he was responsible for monitoring. In response to Finland's accession to NATO the previous year, the Soviet Union swiftly reinforced its borders with Finland, deploying substantial military forces and vehicles.

Andreanov then surveyed the area outside his guardhouse, noting the installation of a new and more sophisticated electronic signaling system, the KS-195K complex, which had been implemented a decade earlier.

The KS-195K complex is the new Soviet electronic signaling system, which was introduced in 1995. It's meant to replace the old KS-185 Gobi. the complex is designed to organize the protection of the State border, the perimeters and premises of the outpost, as well as extended perimeters of industrial facilities for various purposes with the ability to organize access control through transport gates and wickets based on commands from the control panel of the complex.

Andreanov: "Another day, Same work of monitoring the border... "

He exhaled and then leaned back in his chair, closing his eyes. He reflected on his wife and his child awaiting his return in Murmansk. He felt a profound sense of longing for them, yet he recognized the necessity of fulfilling his jobs at this time.

However, a moment after he opened his eyes, he was immediately confronted with a sudden and intense bluish bright of light. He swiftly closed his eyes again, as the light was too bright for him to bear. After approximately five minutes, the light dissipated, and he opened his eyes once more.

Andreanov: What the fuck is that light?! Some kind of funny attack from the Americans? But the Americans have never done this befor-

When he looked outside of his guardhouse, he was astonished by the expansive oceanic vista and the audible tumult of the waves upon the shoreline. The previously snowy and discernible Finnish terrain had vanished, replaced by the vast expanse of the ocean. But one thing was certain, Finland had been dissapeared.

Andreanov: "How could this.....happen?"

happen?"
