we were all looking at seungmin, who was about to spill probably the biggest secret and best gossip topic for my past high school. jeongin stared at him with a smug but angry face while seungmin kept glancing at us and jeongin.
"uhm.." he said.
"hurry up, pup." jeongin said. seungmin glared at him for a the nickname, but then went back to his thoughts.
"his boy dumped him." seungmin said, followed by a mumble which sounded suspiciously like 'as he should'.
everyone exchanged looks. yongbok with hyunjin, me with jisung, bangchan with changbin, yongbok with jisung, bangchan with hyunjin, me with changbin, hyunjin with jisung, yongbok with me, bangchan with yongbok, me with hyunjin.
i looked at jeongin, who looked slightly shocked that seungmin actually said it.
"seungmin!" he scolded. "what's wrong with you!? why would you tell them?"
"you literally told me to tell them, what was i supposed to do?" seungmin asked.
"he's not wrong though." changbin said, earning a hit on the shoulder by bangchan. "sorry-"
"wait -- then why are you both mad at each other?" hyunjin asked.
"because when i thought seungmin hyung was the perfect person to vent to, he smiled at me and said 'good for you, that dude was seriously a red flag' instead of comforting me." jeongin said, crossing his arms.
"honestly, jeongin, you're so naive. he actually was a red flag." seungmin said. "so what if he broke up with you? it's his loss."
"humph." jeongin said.
"okay, how about we let seungmin and jeongin have a talk alone about this and settle it out themselves?" yongbok asked.
"wonderful idea." jisung said. "my bestie seriously always comes up with the best ideas ever!"
"awh you too sungie!" yongbok said.
i rolled my eyes and said, "get going now, you can take me and jisung's room to settle things out."
"i don't want to be alone with a jerk like him." jeongin said.
"i would." seungmin said, earning glances from all of us. "i mean that i would want to alone with myself."
"uh-huh, now go in there, you guys have no choice." yongbok said, pushing the both of them in. "a little help here guys?"
"oh --" jisung said, getting up and pushing seungmin while yongbok pushed jeongin.
"ridiculous." i said, leaning back on the couch, crossing my arms and legs.

i sat down on the bed first, jisung put jeongin down on a chair in front of me so we were facing each other. but jeongin didn't make any eye contact.
"we'll wait outside." yongbok said, leaving the room with jisung.
i looked at jeongin, who had his arms crossed with a stern expression on his face. even though the scenario was dead serious, i couldn't help but smile at how adorable he looked.
he looked at me and our eyes met. he squinted his eyes at me with a sulky face.
"why are you smiling now?" jeongin asked in a harsh tone.
"nothing." i said, getting rid of my smile. jeongin scoffed. "listen, i know you're sad and all, but he just wasn't right for you. you're too good for him. you're cute, you have fluffy hair, you have the most gorgeous smile ever, your eyes are pretty, your style is just the best. and the most of all, you're perfect inside and out, you're not afraid to be yourself. that's what i like about you. and if he doesn't see how awesome you are, that blind piece of shit clearly doesn't deserve you, and he definitely doesn't deserve you crying over him. if you're still mad at me, i can understand. i mean, i was pretty much being a jerk, so... im sorry. can you forgive me?"
