Chapter 4 : Nestor Sagittarius: Initiation

Aries woke up to the sound of fire alarms. He groaned at the interruption to his dreams.

Troy was sensitive about flames. Can't blame them with the prophecy of flames oneday engufing it, Troy couldn't take any chances. Last night must have been a real scare if they had to send their ice princess to put out a fire. (He smiled as the girl came to mind. She had given him quite a pleasant dream.)

Well once he earns his Hero title Troy wouldn't have to fear anything. Excited by the thought he jumped out of bed looking forward to the day.

He got ready and went downstairs.

His excitement fell a notch when he saw who was waiting for him there.

Ness: Where do you think you're going?

So the old man isn't gonna thank him for saving his life, dragging his unconscious body out of a flaming house and dragging him home? Typical.

Can't he atleast apologize for sealing his chi and restraining his potential for all those years?!

Aries was not in the mood for him right now.

Aries: I think you know.

Ness: Aries...you can't be a hero.

Aries(rolls eyes): This again?

Ness: You don't get it the more of his power you use the more likely it is for Atlas to possess your body. If he escapes the whole world would fall to chaos.

Aries: You don't get it. I am never gonna let him escape. I won't use his power. Why can't you just trust me.

Ness: If you become a hero the circumstances might force you. How else are you gonna keep up with your opponents abilities?

Aries: I will face any problem that arises with my own power!

Ness: You can't risk the fate of the world on your hubris!

Aries: I'm not even gonna pretend to know what that is!

Ness: It's the arrogance to think you can suppress a Titan even tho you are lower than a demigod! You can't do it!

Aries: ...

Aries: Watch me.

He turned around to walk away but Ness got in his way.

Ness: Your not going anywhere.

Aries: ... Try and stop me....old man.

Ness: If violence is the only language you speak then I'll play your game. If I defeat you, you quit trying to be a hero.

Aries(smile): And if I win?

Ness: Win? Ha! If you can land even one hit on me I'll let you do what you want.

Aries(smirk) : Deal!

Aries wasted no time in attacking but his fist stopped inches from Ness's face.

Aries: ?

Aries(mind): I stopped? No I'm still moving but...so slow.

Ness: I can beat you with martial arts but let me show you how much abilities really matter in a fight.

He stretched his arm and touched Aries's fist.

Ness: Have you ever heard of the "Achilles and the tortoise" paradox?

Aries: It had my name in it and I feel like I should sue but..... no.

Ness: It is a flawed theorem by the stoic Zeno of Ithaca but my Time altering wizardry ability inherited from Saturn allows me to bring it into reality. By fusing it with my celestial armor any object coming towards me gets vastly slowed down so it appears not to move at all.
