Gone By The Wind [SasuNaru]

Chapter 7

I put on my finest clothing from the stuff I had chosen and got ready. I thought I'd just have to follow sasuke but Neji and others came to pick us both up.

I sat in the back with Sasuke as Gaara drove. During the car ride, I stayed a bit quiet. I wasn't interested in involving myself in such conversations of sex and more.

He was also driving a bit fast, and that is not good for me. I get scared at everything. However, I tried to maintain my figure only because of the people I'm surrounded with.

Sakuras place wasn't far, thankfully. I get car sick sometimes so long hour car drives are not my best.

I rested my head against the car seat. It took a few turns and eventually we got here. We all got out the car. Her place is huge. It's like a mansion. I saw sasuke give me one last concerned look before entering.

I entered behind everyone else and Immediately I saw the pink haired girl lay eyes on me.

"You must be Naruto, Correct?" She asked.

"Yeah, you must be sakura." I responded with my own question.

"Mhm, Come in." She smiled and welcomed me. It seemed like an relaxing party. She told me to sit near the bar, she even gave me my own specific seat and told me to stay there. I found it pretty weird but didn't say much.

Every time they'd come around with drinks, I declined the offer. I thought this party would be entertaining but I feel the same way I was at home.

I sat there awkwardly, just on my phone to waste time. Why is she making me sit here? Can I at least dance?

I put my phone away and began watching everyone. I saw sasuke kissing sakura, neji with random girls, kiba devouring all of the alcohol shots and Gaara talking to a group of people. I just sat here alone.

After a few minutes passed, sakura grabbed a microphone and all of the attention directed towards her.

"I'm grateful for everyone who came to my party. It just started and it's already fun. I want to give a special thank you to my close friends and my date for tonight. Round of applause everyone?" She said, the audience clapping right after she spoke.

"Now, I heard about a little situation where a certain someone messed up the shirt I brought for my date, sasuke." She continued.

I looked up confused, is she talking about me?

"Now, I worked hard for that shirt. It cost me a lot of money. I don't take things so lightly."

I could see sasuke shaking his head no and telling his friends to stop her. I didn't understand what was happening.

"Now, I'd love for that person to experience the same. To feel how I felt."

There, light shun at me. I looked around confused and a bucket of water poured down on to me. In that moment I couldn't think at all. Thousands of thoughts bombarded my brain. The water was extremely cold too. I stood up embarrassed as people laughed. I heard people call my name but in that moment, I didn't think anymore. I ended up leaving out of embarrassment.

He was right. Sasuke was right. Why did I think I was actually invited to something. I tried to be grown about it. I'm 18 years old, I shouldn't cry. Did Neji know about this? I began walking as I was soaking wet. I am such an idiot.

"Naruto" a voice called.

I ignored it. I'm an idiot. I'm an idiot.

The person grabbed my arm and stopped me from walking away. I turned around and it was sasuke.

In that moment, tears started to run down my face. I don't know why. I tried to be strong but he was right, I was wrong.

"I'm sorry.." he said

"I want to go home." I cried. I really did. I didn't have the patience to talk to anyone.

"I'll take you home, come on." he said.

"sasuke?"

We both turned around and it was sakura.

"where are you going? Why are you with this freak?" she asked.

"why the fuck did you do that."

"He did it to your first, I was only defending you."

"He did it to me by accident. He didn't ruin the damn shirt, it was just water. Water can go away." Sasuke yelled.

I stood there shocked, my heart and brain both felt mixed emotions. I didn't have the energy to understand what was really happening.

"Why are you defending this freak?"

"He's not a freak, you are." sasuke fired back, leaving sakura hanging. He grabbed my arm and began walking away. I didn't question his kindness at all. I was still embarrassed from the situation that had occurred.

As we walked, he still had his hand on my arm. I kept my tears from falling down and we walked home together.

It wasn't awkward as I thought it would be. I kind of felt a bit relaxed knowing someone is with me.

I still wonder if sasuke knew about it? He told me I shouldn't come because of sakura, so did he know? Or he just know sakura would pull something like that.

I decided to wash away those thoughts. I am already overwhelmed with my current ones. We reached the school building and we went up to our dorms.

There, Sasuke finally let go of me to get out his keys. Once it was unlocked, we opened the door and settled in. I sat down on my bed, not taking anything off. I felt like I still couldn't process what happened.

Sasuke sat down next to me, on my bed.

"you.. broke the tape rule." I said.

"Forget about it, you should change into a different pair of clothes. You are soaked."

"I know."

"want me to go get some for you?"

I nodded my head yes and he actually did so. He got up and went through my drawer, picking out some clothes.

He gave me the clothes and I changed while sitting down on my bed. I wasn't even embarrassed anymore changing in front of him, in this moment, I didn't think any more embarrassment could top the one I just faced.

Once he saw I was done, he walked towards the bathroom.

"Wait." I Said, causing him to look back at me.

"Stay for a bit please."
