What is Daydreaming? Well, there's this explanation in Indian mythology that Lord Vishnu, the creator, lies on the cosmic ocean bed and our universe is just a figment of his imagination. Now I don't know anything about that, but I do think that Daydreaming can be aptly characterized as creating your own universes.
Every one of us has daydreamed at some point in their life, some more often than others. Sometimes about alternate futures, sometimes heroic acts against the tyranny of our fellows who we've held petty grudges with..etc. Point is, every one of us has a secret life. Its in our nature to have that feeling of escapism. Escape to a universe that is better (for our own self).
And sometimes it can be overwhelming in order for our survival, which is not necessarily a good thing. Because living in a dream takes some major time away from actually living life, which if you're willing enough to see, is absolutely beautiful.
