Since I was young I liked to look up flower meanings on the internet and get to know what each flower means. You used to pick me lily's for me and give them. I was really happy when you used to do that, I looked up the meaning of them. They mean Virginity, purity, and heavenly. I used to wonder if you knew the meaning of lilies or if you just think that they're cute flowers and that's it. Or if you think of me in that type of way.
Your last name comes from a herb. Belladonna. I looked it up, but I wish I hadn't. At that time it looked stupid for your last name to be like that, your family didn't look like the meaning of a herb and I didn't understand anything. Why? But now I understand why.
I do.

"You know every June 29th they do a campfire by the shore. I thought maybe we could go together this year, just the two of us. What do you think?" Shea looks at me through her sunglasses, we used to go all of us, six I mean. But now it seems like me and Shea will be going alone.
"You know I would like that, hey have an apple there's one in my bag," I say as I brush out my wet long hair, there were a few knots.
Shea grabs my bag and gets the apple I got for her. She bites into it and puts my bag away, I see her nods of approval.
We lay there for a couple more hours till it's lunchtime. Me and Shea pack and wear shorts on our bikinis. We go to Elijah's restaurant, the pizza place, and affordable too.
"Hey, ladies!!" Elijah meets us as he serves some customers, he puts down their plates and comes to us, "Sit wherever I'll come in a few." He winks at us and we go sit near the fence. We get to see the beach and the mountains. It is a breathtaking view.
Elijah comes up to us and we order. The place wasn't so busy so he sat at our table to chat with us for a bit.
Elijah is our mutual friend from school, we rarely hang out during summer but we always visit him during his work hours. He said he's too tired to hang out after work and we don't budge him, this place gets busy during summer after all.
"So ladies, going to the campfire party on June 29th?" He wiggled his eyebrows, Shea and I chuckled.
"Yes, we are, you coming?" Shea asked, and he simply nodded. "I thought that you were too tired after work hours." She sips her drink proudly after making that statement.
Elijah rolls his eyes, "Well It's going to be Friday, and I asked my manager to let me out a little early on that day" He says and sticks out his tongue at Shea. He looks at me, I know what he will say.
"Hey, I've seen Belladonnaire's today in the morning. You good?" He asks as he pushes me slightly with his shoulder, I nod.
"I'm good. Who did you see?" I saw Isaiah in the morning but he and William were not together.
"I saw William,' gotcha. "and some girl, I never seen her. Probably brought someone on his family trip. But how long will she stay here?"
"No way the whole summer, she won't last even two weeks here," Shea says.
He brought a girl. He knew that I'd get hurt, and he didn't care. The last thing he said to me is that he'll change and it won't happen again. But it's a lie, right?
You don't change and it happens again.
"Well then let's make her stay here only a week," I say as I sip my drink.
"What are you implying to El?" Elijah looks at me like I'm the stupidest person on earth, and Shea looks at me the same. I roll my eyes.
"Look he brought that girl to hurt me. I can't just find a guy here who would pretend to be my boyfriend-" Elijah puts his hand up. "Elijah you're gay, everyone knows."
"Worth a shot." He snickers.
"On June 29th there will be alcohol and we all know the Belladonnaire's boys will show up. They will be on our side of town so I don't say we make things ugly, but embarrass her. You guys get me now?" I sip my drink again waiting for their opinions.
"I like the idea, but don't you think they'll know it's us?" Shea asks worriedly, I shrug. "I mean after all he'll know that we heard about his new girl and... What if they don't show up after all?" She slumps in her seat.
"Honey everything will be fine, I agree with Elodie's idea. Why only he can hurt her? We can kick him back in the nuts!" He shouts, some customers look at him weirdly and he apologizes with hand motions.
"You know what, yeah let's do it. Give him a taste of his own medicine!" She holds up her drink in the air and we clink it together. Elijah pretends to have a glass in his hand to join in.
