Chloe

Waking up from a nice sleep, I run over to Eliza’s room with a bullhorn. I turn it up to high volume and yell, “Betch! Wake up!! First day of summer!!”

She groaned and threw a pillow at me, “Really?! You’re lucky I didn’t throw anything harmful at you.”

I laugh, “I got all the weapons in my room, you got a nerf and water guns fool. Now c’mon, I’ll treat you to McDonalds or whatever you want.”

She jumped out of her bed to the bathroom. I just rolled my eyes, typical Eliza. She’d do anything for McDonalds fries or chicken. I strolled into my bathroom and get myself ready. Preparing a warm shower, I go into my room to gather some clothes. Eliza and I aren’t sisters but we could pass as one. We were received an amazing offer which got us two nice houses, one by our high school and in downtown Chicago. After taking a short, warm shower, I change into my clothes and dry my hair with a blow dryer. [http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=76929769] Luckily for us, we don’t put any of that makeup crap, well Eliza just puts some mascara but it’s not much. When I went downstairs, I saw Eliza waiting for me listening to music. [http://www.polyvore.com/eliza/set?id=77039883]

“Why so early?” she complained.

“Are you kidding me? It’s freakin’ 11. They just put up the lunch shit.” I explained.

“True. Clyde!!!” she yelled, “Let’s go to McDonalds!”

Clyde Smith is our butler and driver. The way to pay him is to let him stay in our house since it can get a little lonely. He lives in the back of the house with his wife down the hall by the living room. His wife, Sally Smith, cooks our food and cares for us. He comes out of the room in dress pants with a polo. He would usually wear a whole suit but Eliza made a compromise with him. Clyde wasn’t that old, just around his 50’s. At least that’s what I think but he thinks otherwise. Looking fresh, he grabs the keys and leads us to the car. I texted Ethan to meet us up there. Ethan is my guy best friend; he was someone I could actually rely on for advice and to stick up for me. I could trust him with anything and vise versa with me. Since he didn’t go to our school, he would visit me on the weekends. After moving here, he would meet up with me but it slowly stopped because Eliza would scare him. Soon enough we arrived at McDonalds and Clyde left us because we would walk around the place. We both ordered 3 large fries and two chocolate milkshakes. Waiting for Ethan to arrive, we sat down and ate. One was for me and two was for Eliza. She doesn’t get fat so she could care less. While she was devouring her fries, I was tapping my nail to the screen on my phone waiting for Ethan. He takes a long ass time. By the time he came, Eliza finished one of the fries and I finished half of my fries. Apologizing for being late because he had to eat something, we took off to walk around the place. Giving him the rest of my fries, I started to drink my milkshake.

“My milkshakes bring all the boys to the yard and their like … it’s better than yours!” I scream/sing. People were looking at me like I was a freak.

“Erika don’t.” Ethan chuckled.

Ethan and I call each other by our middle names. Mine is obviously Erika and his is Ethan. His first name is actually Daniel, Dan for short. It makes more sense in this ‘situation’ because our names now start with E. It’s confusing for most of the people, but it’s what we do.

“No Dan, let her embarrass herself.” Eliza smiled.

“I will!” I screamed, “My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard and their like—“

“It’s better than yours.” A husky voice said.

“Shit.” I muttered.

We all turned around and saw a boy about a year older than us, smirking at me. He takes a sip out of my milkshake, slips a piece of paper in my hand, and walks away. I had a confused look on my face and shrugged it off. Shoving the paper in my bag, I finished my drink.

“Chloe!!!” Ethan and Eliza yelled my name. That was a first from Ethan; he only uses my first name in serious situations. Oh shit.

“What?” I innocently ask.

“That’s gross! C’mon.” Ethan grabs the drink and throws it away.

I pouted, “I wasn’t done!”

“Only you Chloe, only you.” Eliza grinned.

“What can I say? Milkshakes are amazing!” I smiled.

We walked around for the rest of the day and made fools of ourselves. After the incident with the stranger, we ended up hanging with two other strangers who happened to be really nice and a little perverted. Obviously, Eliza took care of their pervyness. She ended up hurting one of them until Ethan broke up the fight. Now Ryan keeps his distance. Walking around the whole town made us end up at one of the frozen yogurt place. Making my own creation, I put vanilla yogurt and pilled it with sour gummy worms, gummy bears, and some chocolate syrup. Ryan and Trent, the strangers we met, just mixed their frozen yogurts and put syrups on it. Ethan did something almost similar to mine but had fruits and Eliza mixed two of the yogurts and put candy on it.

“I would so put fries in this.” Eliza said, taking a bite of her yogurt.

“How ‘bout chicken?” Ethan asked, shoving a spoon in my mouth.

“EW!” I screamed, “I hate this strawberry!”

“Okay, Chloe, do you hate like every fruit?” Trent asked.

“Do you want a list of my likes, dislikes, and everything about me? I bet it will be at least 58 pages.” I said, taking a bite of my yogurt and then one of Ryan’s.

“Very precise.” Trent winked.

Ryan made a disgusted face, “Thanks!”

“I don’t have cooties so chill your dill and don’t wink at me.” I said.

The music in the store started to play ‘Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men’. I started to sing it and everyone at my table moved away from me. I made a pouty face and stopped singing. Eliza laughed and said that my singing was like a whale giving birth and it was dying. We laughed so hard; we ended up getting kicked out of the shop. It was already dark so I called Clyde to pick us up. Ryan and Trent were butts and couldn’t come over. Ethan usually stays over at my old house, so he has a couple of clothes for him at our houses and I have some of my clothes at his. We arrived at our house and were greeted by the aroma of chicken and mashed potatoes. Eliza ran into the kitchen to grab first dibs. I ran after her to get a drumstick.

“Bitch, I want a drumstick!” I yelled.

“Too bad, hoe bag!” Eliza said, licking the drumstick.

I threw a tantrum on the floor and after a while, I immediately started cracking up. Eliza threw a piece of chicken at me and I ate it. Ethan soon then sat on my lap, thinking I was Santa Claus. When Sally put out all the food out, prepared, we took our seats and started to dig in. We all talked about our plan for the summer and the bucket list. Sally being very concerned and protective said that we should be careful with most of the list and to not get in trouble. Excusing ourselves early, due to the frozen yogurt, we all went upstairs. Going into my room, I looked for a certain piece of paper while Eliza scares Ethan, yet again. I laughed to myself until I found it. “Yes!”

“What?” Eliza asked.

I held up a tie-dye blue and purple paper, I made. “The bucket list, gurl.”

“We starting it, tomorrow, right?” she grinned.

“Yup.” I reply, emphasizing the p.

I laid out the list in front of us; skimming which one we want to start. Ethan mumbled something about us being crazy for wanting to do half of this stuff. That comment just made me more excited. We kept looking for an appropriate one to start the summer off until Eliza yelled out, ‘Got it!’

“Let’s do …”
