Beginnings Arc: Part 9
The three warriors Y/N L/N, Levi Kazama and Kanao Tsuyuri were between a rock and a hard place as their situation looked hopeless. The three were faced with a serpent looking demon who they were clearly no match for. Sure Y/N was able to injure the beast by ironically using ninjutsu which would usually be unattainable for samurais like him but despite this feat, it was not enough to finish the demon off who got up and was ready to kill the three despite its injuries.
With none of the three able to cast anymore fire based ninjutsu as they have done so previously, it was only going to be a matter of time before the beast was going to emerge as the only winner of this battle while everyone else were going to meet their end, but just as the monster taunted the three Konoha warriors, all four combatants were met with another party who entered the scene. This visitor was someone Y/N knew all too well and used to look up to. The middle aged man dressed in priest-like robes, walks into fray with a confident look.

Shiro: I'll ask again.........Don't I have a say in this?
It was none other than Y/N's adopted father Shiro Kuchiki the quincy who had entered the fray. Both Y/N and Levi look at him in shock while Kanao, who has never met this person, looks on, curious as to who this new party was. The demon on the other hand begins to grit its teeth and growls as they lay its eyes on its new foe.
Shiro: You claim that you came here to kill him and his friends but as the kid's legal guardian, I think you should answer to me before you try anything like that.
Confused with the sight of his father calling out to the demon who can only be seen by specific people, Y/N calls out his father to voice his confusion.
Y/N: Old man........You can see this thing?.........You can see me?............
Shiro: Do you really need to ask my boy? I'm sure my wife would be slightly disappointed that you asked a question like that if she was still around.
In reality, Y/N was not thinking logically as he asked his adopted father this particular question but after staring at him for a few more seconds in confusion, the samurai makes a realisation about his quincy father.
Y/N: Hold on....Of course he can, mum told me quincies like herself and Old Man are like samurais in a way since both use spiritual energy except they manipulate reishi, the spiritual particles around us for their abilities while we samurais draw spiritual energy from within ourselves. The limitations of the quincy is their own stamina and ability to absorb ambient reishi. The mere fact that quincies use spiritual aura allows them to see these demons.
