Journey to the Land of Waves Arc Part 7
After the encounter with Sagiri, Naruto spent the rest of the day continuing to climb up trees while Y/N did his own training while teaching his first ever student. Fortunately, Sagiri was a quick learner which meant that Y/N could put more focus on his own training while the young female samurai could individually do the training tasks given to her. At the end of the day, both Naruto and Y/N were retired for the night exhausted which carried over to the next morning since the pair failed to wake up within the same timeframe as their teammates.
Naruto & Y/N: Zzzzzzzzzzzzz.............
Sasuke had already left the boys room but ended up leaving the door wide open in hopes that the noise from downstairs would wake the pair up. Unfortunately, he was asking for the impossible which left his actions futile.
As for the girl's room, Kanao was the last to wake up and fortunately for her this time, she woke up on the right bed. After fixing her hair, she made her way downstairs but on the way, she notices that the boy's door was open and inside it were the two best friends in a deep sleep.
Kanao: Y/N...........
As if something possessed her she steps into the room and skips over Naruto's sleeping body so that she could get closer to her male counterpart. Once close, she rests on her knees and looks at the unconscious male samurai in confusion.
Kanao: Y/N.......Ever since I've met you, you've made me experience things which I have only been told of by my late sister.............
After staring at her unconscious comrade for a while, she pulls out her coin and rests it on her fingers as she prepares to make a decision.
Kanao: ..............................
Unlike the other times she had done so, the female samurai never flipped it and instead places it back in her pocket. Afterwards, she stares at the sleeping Y/N once more before leaning her head closer to his own. Seconds felt like minutes as her face moved closer and closer to his own, only for her movements to halt as the other sleeping boy blocked her path with his hand landing on Y/N's face just as she was about to touch his face with her own.
Naruto: Believe it *chuckles and drools in his sleep*
Realising what she was about to do, she backs off.
Kanao: No.....I mustn't.....................
There was a look of conflict and disappointment in her face as she stood up from the position she was in. Moments later, she could hear footsteps as Kakashi entered the room.
Kanao: Kakashi sensei.
Kakashi: Good morning Miss Tsuyuri
Kanao: Please, no need to be formal. Kanao will be fine.
Kakashi: Okay Kanao, I just came in here to check on these two. What are you doing here?
Kanao: *Blushes* The same........Keeping an on Y/N is my main mission after all.........
Kakashi: How are the two boys?
Kanao: They both seem healthy, just tuckered out from their crazy training schedule last night.
