The scene opens with a young Matrix looking at a singular Mora in his hand.
"I've always loved Mora. The feel of it's weight in my hand. It always made me feel at ease. And seeing my reflection in the pure gold. It felt so nice," Present-day Matrix said "So when I first found a Mora on the ground at the House of the Hearth I knew I needed to show one of my best friends. She was born in Sumeru and had Eleazar. But her case was special and she was already terminal by age 9. Lord Dottore was scheduled to take her to his lab for 'treatment' the next day,".
"'Father' can I please go outside?" The young girl in Matrix's memory asked the past-Arlecchino.
"No my child. You need to stay here and rest before Dottore comes tomorrow to take you for treatment," past-Arlecchino said.
"I just want to see the sun. One last time," The girl said.
"That's when I got an idea. I gathered a few of the children from the House of the Hearth and we covered the streets looking for Mora that people might have dropped. All to reflect the sun to my friend," Present-day Matrix said as the scene shows kids from the House of the Hearth looking around gathering coins.
All the kids convened to Matrix.
"Are we done yet Matrix? Do we have enough?" A young Lyney asked.
Young Matrix nodded. "Let's put my plan into motion!" He exclaimed.
"So throughout the street we used the Mora we collected to reflect the sun into my friend's room. Making her one wish come true," Present-day Matrix said.
The scene changes to three men on their knees in front of Matrix.
"Oh Matrix of the Fatui. It seems all the rumors were wrong. They said you were an aggressive, violent, debt collector. But this story proves just how generous you are in reality," One of the men said.
"So we have an understanding?" Matrix asked rhetorically.
"Yes! And I promise that the next time we meet we'll have the rest of the debt payed. Hopefully you'll allow us to keep the Mora we have now in order to help. With how generous you are," The man said.
"Oh dear. You don't get it after all," Matrix said.
The men were confused.
"The moral of my story was: Pony up the Mora or you'll be meeting my childhood friend real soon," Matrix said.
The man snapped his fingers and some Treasure Hoarder grunt hopped out of the bushes. Matrix sighed at the failed attempt of a sneak attack.
The screen went black and only a man's scream could be heard.
The scene changes to all the Treasure Hoarders and men on the ground unconscious. Mora scattered everywhere. Matrix picked one up and bit it to check its authenticity. He hummed in satisfaction.
"Pick up the rest of the Mora and take it back to the bank. We'll reconvene there. Take the Mora on the grunts too. It'll help with their debt," Matrix said as he walked away from the scene.
"You know Matrix. It wouldn't kill you to try a kinder approach," Lyney said.
"Lyney. In our underworld there's a saying: 'Kind gets you killed'," Matrix said.
