The thunderous cheering from the crowd almost blew Minjee away.
Even from her place just off stage, behind the curtains.
The ballerina was caught between disbelief and awe as she watched BTS dazzle the Grammys audience with their perfect performance. The song that had been stuck in her head was on full blast, showcasing a choreo no-one had seen before.
All seven members were dominating the stage, but her eyes were glued on one particular person, who ever so subtly glanced backstage from time to time. His style seemed to fit the song perfectly.
"Can you believe this is happening?" Elena asked, barely being able to contain her excitement as she clung to her friend's arm.
Minjee shook her head. "It feels surreal," she mumbled back.
The four ballerinas were huddled together, tucked away behind the curtains. They had changed out of their ballet costumes into something more comfortable, swapping their tutu's for jeans and cozy sweaters.
Minjee herself had let her hair down, the dark waves cascaded over her shoulders, framing her face in a soft, natural style that felt freeing after the tight bun from her swan costume.
"Look at our Minnie, all starstruck," Belle chuckled, gently nudging her.
Minjee flashed a playful grin, retorting, "Says the one who nearly fainted meeting them earlier."
Their giggles were a soft bubble amidst the backstage frenzy.
The moment the song ended, the cheering intensified and the applause was deafening. Her heart swelled with pride as she watched them smile and bow towards the audience, before heading backstage.
As soon as Jimin was behind the curtain, his eyes scanned the crowd, locking onto Minjee instantly.
Without a moment's hesitation, he beelined towards her.
Before she could even process what was happening, Jimin had grabbed her hand. The action felt so natural, yet so new at the same time. The touch was sending waves of tingles through the ballerina.
