It was late when Minjee finally found herself standing outside Jimin's apartment, a soft chill in the Seoul air as she raised a hand to knock.
She hadn't been here in months, hadn't seen him in months– her break from the ballet company in New York was brief, but she couldn't let the chance slip by. It was almost Jimin's birthday, after all, and she planned to make the most of it before she had to go back again.
The Nutcracker shows were almost around the corner again. Time was flying.
But that wasn't the focus right now.
She knocked once, twice, and before her fist could reach the door a third time, it flew open.
"Min-ah!" Jimin's warm voice greeted her, and before she could say a word, his arms wrapped around her, pulling her into a tight hug.
The familiar scent of him filled her senses as she immediately melted into the embrace, resting her cheek against his chest. His heartbeat thudded steadily beneath her ear.
"I missed you," he murmured, his lips brushing the top of her head.
She smiled, her arms snaking around his slim waist. "I missed you more."
"Nuh-uh, not possible."
The ballerina looked up, still snug in his embrace, to give him a playful, stern look. Jimin, not intimidated at all, just chuckled and pulled away– though not before stealing a quick kiss on her forehead, leaving her with a soft blush as he grabbed her hand to lead her inside.
'You really missed me that much, huh?' Minjee teased, sending the thought directly through their connection.
The idol glanced back at her, his eyes sparkling with mischief as his voice filled her mind. 'More than you know.'
Slipping out of her shoes and into her slippers, she followed her soulmate into his open living space.
The apartment felt cozy and warm, with soft lighting and plush blankets draped over the couch. It had his signature style– chic but lived-in, like the calm oasis he needed after hectic days.
"How was your flight?" He asked as rolled her suitcase towards his bedroom.
"Long, but it's always worth it when I'm coming to see you," Minjee teased, giving him a playful nudge.
He chuckled again, a faint pink tinting his cheeks. "You're smooth, you know that?"
Minjee winked, pretending to dust off her hands. "I've learned from the best."
Jimin rolled his eyes but couldn't hide his smile as he turned towards the kitchen. "Come on, I'm making ramyeon. It's not much, but I figured after your flight, something warm and easy would be good."
"You, cooking?" Minjee gasped, eyes wide with mock shock.
"Hey!" He laughed, throwing a dish towel over his shoulder. "I'm not that bad. At least give it a try before you judge."
