Aziraphale knows he should listen to his gut not go to Heaven with Metatron, but he couldn't turn an offer like this one down. The offer to replace the archangel Gabriel as the head Angel is an offer you just don't refuse. Aziraphale knew something was off when they asked him, a lower-level Angel.
"Are you excited?" Metatron asks Aziraphale. He knows the true intentions. The promotion was already given to the Archangel Michael, someone more deserving in his opinion. This lower-level Angel beside him isn't.
"A tad," Aziraphale replies. He's anxious and untrusting, but he is also excited.
Once they step out of the elevator in Heaven, they're approached by Möbius, the receptionist Angel who lets souls and Angels into Heaven.
"Aziraphale!" Möbius cheers and he hugs the Angel. "Oh, I have missed you. It is good to see you again."
"It's good to see you again, as well, Möbius," Aziraphale replies and he smiles at the receptionist. "You're still on reception."
"I am," Möbius chirps.
"Aziraphale, it's time to go," Metatron says. He's being expected.
"I hope to see you soon, Möbius," Aziraphale says before following Metatron.
They walk through the white halls of a building in Heaven. Aziraphale's heart squeezes in fear when he sees Phaziel and Matael, two of the Angelic guards from the Heavenly Prison in Hell, walking their way.
"Phaziel! Matael!" Metatron shakes their hands. "Thank you for coming up."
"Of course, Sir," Phaziel replies, her red hair pulled into a tight bun. Her pale skin makes her dark eyes shine.
"There you are," Michael says as she makes her way down the hall, the heels of her new human shoes clocking with each step.
"Michael," the two angels say in sync as they tense up.
"Take him away."
"Wha- no!" Aziraphale cries out as Phaziel and Matael grab him. "No! No! Metatron! No!"
They disappear before he can start pleading more.
*****Aziraphale was knocked out on the way to Hell. He wakes up a few days later and he sees Lucifer, Satan himself.
"Aziraphale," Lucifer murmurs when he sees the Angel.
"Lucifer," Aziraphale says. He hasn't seen him since Adam, the now-human Antichrist, send him away. "Where am I?"
"Heaven Prison, the worst one..." Lucifer is in a huge cell across the stoney, bloody, dark, and damp. He's chained to the walls. "Aziraphale, welcome to Hell."
