Real love is when you see someone real face and still like him
After the left of the young boy, Megan goes put the food on the table. Not event two minutes later her aunt and big sister came in.
« Jeremy's not here yet? » asked the aunt
« No I thought he was with Elena » answered the brunette
« No I haven't seen him »
At the same time the young girl's phone ring sign that she got a message. A message from her brother telling her not to wait for him since he's at the Mystic Grill.
« We won't have Jay tonight to eat » said Megan putting her phone back in her pocket
« That makes even more for us » said Elena joking
« Yeah even more knowing I won't eat either. I'm not hungry »
« What but you cooked it! » said my aunt
« Yeah I know, I'll eat some and other time... I'm going in my room » said the girl getting upstairs
The girl got upstairs and got on her bed with a book. Some hours later, someone knock at the front door. Elena got to open it and she sees Stefan standing in front of her.
« Oh? Hey? » said Elena not knowing why he's here
« Hi, is Megan here? » asked the boy
« Yeah. » said Elena going in the stair « Megan it's for you! »
The young girl who was still in her room frowns and get out of her room. She gets downstairs to see Stefan standing in the door frame.
« Stefan? » asked the girl « What are you doing here? »
« I think I forgot my jacket here » said the bow with a smile
« Come look I'm haven't seen it »
The brown haired girl go in the kitchen to see if Stefan's jacket's there. Looking at the sofa she sees it
« I didn't even see it sorry »
« No worries »
« You coming sis' » asked the older Gilbert
« Coming? »
« You said you were coming with me to the Mystic Grill. Bonnie is waiting for us »
« Ah yeah I said that. I almost hadn't forgotten. I just need to go get my phone » said Megan going in the stair
She turns around on the second stair.
« Stefan you want to come? »
The young boy smile before to nod. Megan fastly get upstair before to get downstairs again.
« Jenna we're leaving » said Elena
« Cool have fun. Oh no wait, be careful and don't come home too late »
Megan smiles to her aunt and they all get outside. Seeing her sister going to the car, Megan's smile slowly disappears.
« You know what I'll meet you there on feet »
« Megan y- » start the big sister
« I'm fine I promise. Stefan you just have to go with Elena it'll be faster »
« No I'm fine I'll walk with you »
Elena clearly hesitate to let her sister but finally get in the car and leaves.
« Why do you prefer to walk? » ask Stefan has they started walking
« Because it's good to do some sport »
The young boy start laughing before to turn back to the girl. The girl loose her way in front of that look.
« I just don't really like cars... If I can avoid taking them I do. » said the girl turning her glance in front of her
« Why? »
« About four months ago my Parents were in a car accident... Elena and I were in the car and we should have died. I don't take car or bus or anything since. I'm paralyzed »
« I'm sorry about your parents... » apologies Stefan
« It's fine... »
She look at him and smiles. They keep walking while talking. Arrived at the restaurante, Megan take his arm to guide him to her sister and her friend. Bonnie automatically gets up and hug the girl.
« I'm happy to see you too Bonnie... That's Stefan. Stefan, Bonnie. »
« Pleased to meet you » says Stefan
« Me too »
« Wow Megan I haven't seen you all day » says a blonde girl coming to meet them hugging instantly Megan
« I know we don't have class together » answer Megan smiling to her best friend. « Oh yeah. Stefan that's Caroline, Caroline that's Stefan »
The blonde girl smile to him and Stefan answer a polite smile.
« Come seat » says Elena
They go to a table and the three girl ask Stefan all the question Megan had already asked.
« So Stefan since you're new you probably doN't know about the party tomorrow. » announce Caroline
« Yeah it's more of a school party »
Stefan turn to the youngest Gilbert.
« You going? »
« Sure she is » answers Elena for her sister which earned her a black look from her little sister
After a little bit more talking time to go home had come.
« Please Meg' can you come with me in the car? » begged the big sister
« It's not far I can walk »
« Well I can walk with you if you want » proposes Stefan
After a hesitation from the big and protective sister she finally accepts and leave. About at the half of the way a cold wind got up. The girl who had not taken a jacket start to get a little cold.
« You're cold? » asks the boy
« No I'm fine don't worry »
« Try again but without the shivering this time » says Stefan laughing a little
They both laugh a bit.
« Don't worry we're almost there anyway »
The boy totally ignoring her get his jacket off and put it on her shoulder. She turn to look at him.
« Thanks »
« It's nothing. » says Stefan looking at her « So you were saying before you like to travel? »
« Yeah »
« Where would you like to go? »
« Chicago, Italia, Paris, London and New-York »
« Wow you really want to go everywhere »
« Yeah there's some more but I don't want to annoy you »
« You don't annoy me. »
Once at Megan's house they leave each other and Megan get up in her room to prepares herself to get to sleep. Getting changed she réalise she still have the boy jacket. Putting it on a chair she get in her pyjamas and go to her brother room. After some knock he opens.
« You good? » asks the boy
« Yeah I'm going to sleep. Just saying good night. »
The boy look at her a bit and hugs her.
« Love you little sis' »
« Love you too. And I'm the oldest »
They laugh and she goes to sleep. In fact neither of them knows the oldest, their parents wanted to wait for an important birthday and they said that anyway it didn't change anything. She gets in her bed.
The girl open her eyes and sees something in front of her. Water coming out of her mouth coughing it. She have a feeling like she drowning.
« You good? » asks the blurry person
It looks like a man, looking at her forehead. She touch it with her finger and see some blood. The boy get closer and finally she can recognize him. It's Stefan. But he have some strange thing under his eyes and his teeth are strange.
Megan finally wakes up screaming in her bed. Her twins come running into the room and tries to hold her. She finally calm herself.
« Sorry I'm fine. » says the girl
« Me- » starts the twin
« I'm fine Jay. Go back to sleep. You're gonna be tired tomorrow. »
« Fine... Calm me if you need anything »
He gets out and the girl sees her sister and her aunt in the hallway.
« I'm fine you can go sleep »
It's normal in this house now. She wake ups at night all the time but screaming like that is more rare, like once a week and they know it. They know her nightmares, well in part. Normally someone has to stay with her but right now the young girl needs peace, she needs to make up her mind. That dream, it looked so real. Seeing the time she gets up to her computer. At 2am with that kind of dream she can't dream to go back to sleep. Doing research for 4 hour and not finding anything a detail finally come back, the weird thing under his eyes. She closes her computer at the moment her brother comes in. She's still looking at the wall. It can't be true...
