"DID YOU GET MY note this morning?" ruby asked brady over the phone as she got ready. they call everyday and manage to make time for each other, even when they're busy.
"yes rue, i got it. you stuck it to my forehead."
"yeah well i wanted to make sure you got it. i woke up, wrote the note, and when i woke up again, you were gone like we were friends with benefits without the friends."
"so fuck buddies?"
"yes, but that's not my point, did you like the note?"
brady scoffed, "yes rue, it was a very polite note... with a little dick drawn on the corner."
"hey, at least it wasn't actually on your forehead. just admit, braids. dicks are funny. ugly looking... but funny!"
"yeah whatever, maybe yours is ugly. i gotta go."
"my dicks beautiful, brady." valentina laughed as brady hung up.
brady had spent the night at Valentina's house, slipping out just before anyone woke up (in slight fear of her dad, but she didn't need to know that.)
