𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐧'𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐞

Sophies POV (chapter 3)

"The forbidden CITIES?" Linh shrieked-
She had been quiet most of the time and Sophie had almost forgotten she was there

But obviously her reaction to this was enough to get her out of the corner

"Yes Ms. Linh, Blur and Wraith are most likely in the forbidden cities. Mr. Dizznees security cameras in London were altered by our technopath to spot neverseen cloaks and Blur and Wraiths facial features- with and without the disguises" Magnate Leto assured her

"So we are SURE they have Blur and Wraith? Like 100 percent? Like, we're so sure we're gunna launch a rescue mission" Keefe asked

"Not exactly Mr Sencen, but this is the MAIN reason I wanted to talk to you all, in pursuit to find Blur and Wraith we will need a couple of people to head down to the forbidden cities" he said very seriously

"ME! I VOLUNTEER!" Keefe yelped

"Mr. Sencen- the people heading out have already been determined, and they are being sent out for at least 1 week with imparters, spyballs, obscurers, and any other elvin necessity for insuring maximum safety" Magnate Leto sighed

"Ok so who's going?" Dex asked- expecting to be left out again

"Now- listen to reason before a riot sparks" magnate Leto held his hands in a stop as people were about to ask questions

"Obviously Ms. Foster, then Mr. Dizznee, Ms. Vacker, and finally-" magnate Leto released somewhat of a huge sigh

"Mr. Sencen"

Keefe laughed

"Why'd you put him on the mission if you don't want him to come?" Dex asked

"Because Mr Dizznee- we need an Empath, and Mr Sencen is one of the most powerful ones around, though I have something to say- directed to you two"

He shifted his gaze to Sophie and Keefe standing next to each other

"Please refrain from...intimacy in the apartment we have decided to put you 4 in" he sighed

Sophie turned the most ruby red she thought she could ever become

Keefe's smirk had turned into a look withholding
hysterical laughter

Fitz had his jaw on the floor

And Tam had already burst into laughter

Dex, Linh, and Biana had joined in with Tam's outburst

"Even Magnate Leto thinks you two are gunna bang!" Dex said through bouts of laughter

"I feel as though I would regret learning what the term 'bang' means- but like I said, refrain from your-
'Teenager-esque feelings' that may swell as part of living so close together" Magnate Leto insisted

Biana choked on  a laugh-again

"T-that's - not gonna happen!" Sophie stuttered with extreme embarrassment

"Don't bet on anything just yet Foster" Keefe joked with a wink

Just as Sophie thought her blush was toning down- she continued to burn tomato red

"Ok let's- put a pin in that conversation- back to the important things" Fitz grumbled

"Oop Captain Perfect-Pants is grouchy and jealous now isn't he" Ro laughed from the side of the office

Fitz ignored him and continued "when will those four have to go?"

"One to two days" Magnate Leto said, Unfazed

"What!?" Sophie yelped "your giving us 1 day of notice to just- pack up and leave to somewhere completely illegal for a week! Possibly longer!?, our parents haven't even agreed yet!"

"Mine won't care" Keefe said blissfully, though she could tell it was strained

"Mine would probably be alright with it" Dex said

"So would mine" Biana added "I'm going off to do some cool mission stuff- I bet they'd be somewhat proud"

"Fine" Sophie said "I'll tell them- but it's going to require a lot of persuasion, and NO ONE mention that's Keefe's coming along- you all know how my dad feels about him"

"Okay- I'll give more information on the day of the mission" Magnate Leto agreed "but for now, everyone try to convince their parents that what is going on is highly important and mostly classified- so don't give away EVERYTHING

"Okay mom, dad- I know this is SUPER last minute and crazy dangerous and all of the above- but I have to go on this big assignment in less then 24 hours, I will be able to contact you two any time, I'll have Sandor, and we will have weapons- we're just gonna be in the forbidden cities for a week or more"

Sophie filled them in on why- though not giving way to much away- and though it was all good, they had agreed for her to go but she had to stay safe and call every night

It was going great

Until

The one question she was dreading

"Is That Boy going?" Grady asked

Sophie had prayed for him not to ask- but with her luck of course he did

She didn't want to lie

But if she said that she was in a house with keefe for a week straight-

Her dad might suddenly veto it

"Uh- yeah?" She hesitated

Grady sighed "I thought so, just- don't do anything- and please, I'm begging you... don't make me a grandpa just yet kiddo" he chuckled at the end of the sentence

"Grady!" Edaline yelped while trying to stifle a giggled. "You can't say that!"

"I have a bad idea that this advice might actually be of some importance Sophie-" Grady concluded

Sophie was about to say something with her cheeks a furious pink

"Just saying-" Grady interjected "stay safe Sophie- remember to call"

"I will! Love you guys! I'm going to go pack now- see you in the morning!" Sophie's expression sifted though embarrassment still was visible in her face

The week ahead was going to be rough
