One of Jack's managers held auditions early in the week, she felt that the club needed to have more singers for the jazz events. She had nothing against Evie, but she wanted to make sure that they made a lot more money with new talent. After going through a few performance auditions, one singer made the cut. This girl's name, was Peggy Jones. She was 17 years old, and really wanted to earn the job as a singer for this club. She was also eager to see Jack again, as she heard from a friend that Jack was the owner of this nightclub. Chelsea, the manager, didn't bother to tell Jack that they had a new singer for the Saturday Evening Jazz night, who would perform before Evie Queen would on the stage. But Jack found out soon enough, after he arrived at the club at 3:00 pm on Friday, he was working a 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm shift. He was in his private office at the top floor, filling out some paperwork when a knock came at the door, "Come in." He said while not looking up at whoever came in, it was Chelsea. "Um, Jack. I'm sure you're aware that I held auditions for the performing nights, including the Saturday evening jazz nights here at the club, right?" Jack said nothing, as he wrote down his signature at the end of the page, he took his time to answer. "Yeah, what about it?" Chelsea took a small gulp, "Well, we have a newcomer here, she's about to start. Here's her resume." Jack grabbed the paper and read it through, his heart nearly stopped as he read the name to himself, "Peggy Jones.", before he put the paper down, and looked up at his manager without saying a word.

Now, Peggy was an old girlfriend of Jack's. You see, back when he was a teenager, Angelica allowed Jack to fly to a music academy in New England. Jack was still 16 and taking classes to play guitar for some band ensembles, yet he was already skilled in playing acoustic and electric guitar. He met Peggy during the Jazz Club night on his second weekend there. He asked her out and they went on a date on the second night, they dated until he had to leave the school to go back to Cuba, and she went on to become a famous jazz singer, occasionally booking in Auradon. She's the owner of the former stray dog, Peg, who was friends with both Lady and the Tramp. Jack put the paper down and walked down the stairs, he sat at a table and watched as Peggy walked onto the stage, and slated for her performance, "Hi, I'm Peggy Jones, and I will be singing, "Gee Baby, Ain't I good to You." Of course, this was just a rehearsal, as the club wouldn't be open until 9:00 pm tonight. She saw Jack in the corner of her eye, and her heart beated like crazy, but she knew she had to continue. The small jazz ensemble began, and Peggy started to sing.

Jack rubbed his eyes and his face with his thumb and fingers, listening as she sang. He was anxious and nervous, he wasn't expecting this at all. Peggy's voice carried through the room, and she sang beautifully, almost angelic. When she finished, a couple of his staff members clapped and hooted, Jack shook his head with his eyes closed. They ran through the rehearsal once more, and when she was done, Peggy slowly made her way down the steps of the stage. "Jack?" She asked as she walked closer to him, he subtly raised up a hand and waved, "Hi Peggy." He said with a bit of a sheepish smile, Peggy immediately hugged him and wrapped her arms fast around the back of his neck, popping up one of her feet, before she pulled back to look into his eyes, "Oh my god, it's so great to see you! Chelsea told me you're the owner of this club!" She said excitedly and he nodded, "I am." he replied. "That's really great." She said, "Are you single or..." she asked, almost flirtatiously and eagerly, and Jack knew he had to stop her, "Actually, I'm engaged." He held up his hand to show her his engagement ring, that Evie had got for him. "Oh, I wonder who the lucky girl is." She said with a smile, "Her name is Evie Queen, the daughter of the Evil Queen." He said. "Ah." Peggy replied before she continued, "I'd like to meet her. She sounds sweet, she's really lucky to have you." Jack nodded again, "Thank you." Peggy then continued on, "Are you gonna be here tonight? It's my first time singing at the club." Jack did a slight head nod. "Cool. Well, I'd better go. I gotta walk Peg before I come in tonight. See you later, Jack." She said with a smile as she waved with her fingers. Jack sat back down and exhaled a long sigh, this was gonna be hard to explain to Evie. He readied a pen and started to sign the paperwork he'd been working on in his office earlier.
