Her nerves were all over the place, the anxiety tonight was giving her made her think back to her first ever pole dance. She was young, kind of insecure, and faded out of her mind with the help of tequila and opioids— a hustler nonetheless, but one that didn't have her personal shit together outside of the club.
Now staring back at her twentysix year old self, Sachi was becoming proud of the woman she found herself growing into. She was finally at the cutting edge of her time spent at The Pynk, she planned on diving head first to wrap up her last semester at the University of Texas online this August, and she's raising such a precious and intelligent child that makes her proud to be a mom.
Not to mention Roman being in their lives; Halo had a consistent father who thinks the world of her, while also loving her mother deeply and would do absolutely anything to see them both happy.
"Mommy, you're still not done!?" Halo exclaimed, giving her a jumpscare as she stood in her full length mirror. She was stuck between two outfits and whether they were appropriate or not, and obviously she was taking too long for Halo's liking. "I'm hungry!"
"Ohhh, Halo— da' dramatics are crazy," She giggled at Halo throwing herself over onto her bed and exhaling deeply,"Where yo' daddy at?"
"Outside," She answered before pouting and telling her,"and he wouldn't even let me go wit' him mommy."
"Cause he don't want you ta' see what he doin'," She chuckled, knowing Roman was outside smoking in the balcony. "Do you like mommy's dress?" She asked, turning in her pink René Caovilla heels.
"Yes! You look so pretty mommy. Do you like my dress?" she hopped off the bed with excited, sashaying over to her mom in her pastel pink Ralph Lauren dress that matched Sachi's two tone nude, one shoulder gown perfectly.
"You look gorgeous darling," she complimented Halo in a silly british accent, making her giggle as she crouched down and adjusted Halo's hairbows. "Don't you feel so pretty mama?"
As Halo nodded and hummed,"Mhm." Roman came in right on time, cockily telling her,"You get'cha good looks from yo' daddy Halo— just throwin' dat' out there."
"Boy," Sachi chuckled while standing up straight, watching his eyes light up at the sight of her,"you got alotta' time to make up fa' so I'll let you have dat' one. We both know what side these good genes really come from though."
"You and Halo got matchin' birthmarks?" He challenged her, making her stop in her tracks before retorting,"No but we got matchin' dimples— dat's basically da' same thang, ain't it?"
"Naw, naw, no it ain't!" He argued as they laughed together, Halo joining in simply because she loved seeing her parents happy. Scooping Halo into his arms, he cradled her as if she was a three month old infant. "Ain't dat' right Dudie?"
"Yes!"
"Of course she'd agree wit'chu," Sachi giggled, giving herself another once over in her full length mirror,"Does my outfit look okay? It's not too much is it?"
"Naw, you look great baby." He assured her as a busy Halo wiggled out of his hold and distracted herself with toys, leaving him to ease his way into the full length mirror behind Sachi. "Why would it be too much?"
"I'm just makin' sure," She answered as he held her waist, watching her smooth her dress out and exhale softly,"Have your parents made it to da' restaurant yet?"
