The hunters had left the three teenagers alone, unharmed, and angry at one of their own.

Asher felt adrenaline beginning to fade, the pain in her leg quickly returning as she struggled to keep her balance. She should have expected the pain to return as she was still wearing heels, even after Peter had kidnapped her and Stiles.

Jackson caught her, helping her back to her feet as the three of them looked helplessly at one another.

"We need to find them." She said.

"Asher, are you crazy?" Jackson said, shaking his head.

"I hate to agree with Jackson, but he's got a point. How much can we really do?"

The door swung open behind them, nearly startling. them all out of their skin.

Eli was standing there with both of her mothers, the three of them looking more serious than anyone had ever seen them.

"Jackson might not be of much help. But the twins will be, and they're coming with us."

"Asher, Stiles...it's nice to finally meet you. My name is Harper."

Her blonde hair came down to her shoulders, disheveled natural curls blowing lightly in a breeze that no one else could feel. She was beautiful.

Her eyes were the kind of blue that rivaled diamonds, piercing right through the young witch as she offered a smile. It was a kind look, almost like a mother looking at one of their children.

"What the hell is going on?" Jackson demanded, looking at the unfamiliar women and starting to inch himself in front of Asher.

It was not from a place of concern, rather than simply clinging to what was familiar to him. Asher knew that Jackson did not care for her, not in a genuine sense at least.

But she was part of the friend group he often hid behind, she was something familiar, a pipeline to something that he felt was his. And he felt threatened.

"We're sorry you've been left to your own devices for so long, it was simply what was best for you." The blonde said.

"I don't understand—what do you want from us?"

"You may have been without the help of other witches, Asher, but you were not alone."

Eli interrupted, "How many times has Stiles been the reason you didn't bring an entire building down around you? How many times has Isaac calmed you down when your heart started to race and the tension inside you felt like it was going to break? Even Lydia—your desire to keep her safe kept you from setting the lacrosse field on fire tonight. You know I've been training to help you guys. You're my friends, and I can't stand to let you do this alone. You won't be alone, not ever again."

Asher nearly cried at her friend's words. She knew Eli was with her moms working on her own abilities, but she had no idea they were preparing to help the twins take down the alpha.

" If you hadn't been thinking of Lydia's life, you'd have blown the lights and struggled to regain control of your power. Asher, you are stronger than any other witch we have ever encountered. We need you tonight, so I'm asking you to take my hand and come with me." Adeline said, reaching both hands out for the twins.

Asher looked back at Stiles, who hadn't taken his eyes off of his sister once.

She didn't have a plan. She didn't know what was going to happen once they got to the Hale house. She didn't know anything.

But when she looked at her brother, who gave her a subtle nod—telling her that it was okay, she felt as though something in her life was not out of place. Stiles was always going to be the last answer she needed—if she had his support, it didn't matter what anyone else said.
