Our little group made our way through the mirror and appeared in the dark woods.
"So this is the Dwarfs' Mine... Long ago, this mine was flush with magestones," Deuce said as we started down a dirt pathway. I look around the darl forest as we walked. "It's really dark though, kinda hard to see."
"Urgh... Who knows what lurks in there now?" Grim complains.
I lit my shoulders on fire, causing light to illminate off me. "There we go, now that we can see better we can take on anything that comes our way a bit easier."
"You could've done that sooner, ya know?" Ace comments not looking at me.
"I was perfectly fine in the dark. If you'd like, I can leave us in the dark again," I threaten with a teasing smirk. The flames on my shoulders dimming slightly.
Yuu rams their elbow into Ace's side with an irritated smile. "No, no, thank you for the light Y/n we appreciate it very much." Deuce nods in agreement with Yuu while Ace rubs his side with a pout. Grim decides to jump from Yuu's shoulder to the top of my hat.
"Oh yeah, this is the perfect spot! Warm and tall enough to tower over all of you!" Grim stands smuggly atop my head, ranting coming about being the greatest wizard or something like that.
"Hey, I see a house up ahead," I say pointing in front of us.
"Great, let's see what the people there have to say." Ace adds, as we make our way into the house.
"Hellooo? Is anybody home...?" Deuce calls out as we step inside. "Must be empty. It looks like it's been abandoned." He says as we look around.
"Bwah! I got a spider web on my face! Ptchoo! Ptchoo!" Grim, shouts from my head climbing down to my left shoulder that I put out. Grim pulls the edge of my hat over his body.
"These are some small chairs and desks, wonder who lived here," I said, squating down to get a better look at the furniture. "Maybe actual Dwarfs? That might be where the name came from."
"No way, Dwarfs are so rare it's more likely that they were just kids." Ace denies. "One, two, three... seven! Whoa it's like a clown car!"
"When the mine was flourishing, this house must have been a lively place." Deuce says looking around some more.
"Well, this isn't getting us anywhere. If we're gonna find a magestone, it'll be inside the mine. Let's head inside and take a look." Ace decides, we step back outside towards the entrance to the mine.
