A therianthrope, often called a therian, is an individual that identifies non-physically as an animal in some way. However, therians do not believe that they are physically animals. That is clinical lycanthropy, and is considered a mental illness.
Theriotypes are the animals therians identify as. For example, I identify as a snow leopard, so my theriotype is a snow leopard. You can have as multiple theriotypes, and that's ok. A person with multiple theriotypes is called a polytherian.
