I heard the sound of my annoying alarm. I also heard the alarm on my phone go off. Yes, I set both. My phone I can simply turn off and go back to sleep, but my alarm clock is on the other side of the room. If I want to turn it off, I actually have to get up out of my bed to turn it off. Therefore, I am already up and I have more motivation to actually stay up and get ready.

Today was a day where I couldn't sleep in. I had to get my last minute items and get ready. Niall was coming to pick me up at 3:00 am. The plane leaves at four but we needed to make sure we were there in time to get everything ready and what not. I got up at two so that way I could make sure I got everything.

I did my morning routine and eventually was ready to go. I made some coffee, because I knew I was in need of it. I heard a knocking at my door. I walked over and unlocked it before opening it.

"Hey, come on in." I said to Niall. He stepped inside my apartment. I forgot that he'd never been here before. He was sort of awkward about it. "Make yourself at home."

I walked into my room and got my luggage. I set it down next to the door. I could tell Niall was tired. First off, he looked it. Second off, he was being quiet. It was sort of cute, to be completely honest.

"Do you want some coffee? You look like you could use some." I said with a chuckle.

He nodded his head. "That would be great. Have you eaten yet?"

I got a thermos and poured him some coffee. "No. I'm too tired to eat. Do you want creamer?"

"Yeah." He said.

I opened the fridge and showed him where the creamers were. I had three different kinds, so I was going to let him choose which one he wanted. "Okay. Well, I have plenty so go on ahead and pick one. I don't know if you want sugar or not, but it's right over there if you want any." I pointed my finger in the direction of the sugar.

"Okay, thanks." He started to make his coffee and I made more conversation.

"So have you eaten yet?" I asked him.

He shook his head and then took a sip of coffee.

"Okay. Do you want anything or do you want to stop somewhere on the way?"

"We can just stop somewhere," he replied.

"Alright. Well, I'm ready to go whenever you are." I said.

"Well then let's go!" He through my duffle bag over his shoulder and started pulling my suitcase. I grabbed my purse off the counter and put my phone in my pocket.

"Do you want me to get that?" I asked Niall.

"No, it's okay. I got it." He slightly smiled. He was so tired he couldn't smile a full smile.

'Awe. What a gentleman.' I thought to myself.

I followed behind Niall to his car. Once we got to it he put my luggage in the trunk. He didn't have much things with him since he had things at his parents still. I crawled into the passenger side of the car and he the drivers side. The ride to the airport was silent. Both of us were still too tired to talk a lot. In fact, we were so tired that we forgot to eat. Yeah, Niall forgot to eat. I didn't know that it was possible for him not to be thinking about food, but I guess it is when he's sleepy.

Once we got there we did what all we had to do and eventually boarded the plane. We sat down and listened as the flight attendants spoke. They listed off what all to do in case of emergency, the rules, all that kind of stuff. Before I knew it, we had taken off.

I looked out my window to the world below. All I could see were little tiny specks of lights where the streetlights and business lights were. There weren't a whole lot on since it was still early in the morning and no one was open.
