Chapter 31: Confessions I love You
The air was electric with his confession, still resonating in my mind as I replayed the moment over and over again. Harry's vulnerability, his nervousness at baring his soul to me, it was a side of him I'd never seen. His earnest declaration, the way his eyes searched mine for a reaction, it all painted a picture of a man deeply in love.
As he stood there on my doorstep, hesitating before leaving, his concern was palpable. "I—I hope I didn't overstep, Bella. I just needed you to know how I feel," he stuttered, his usual suave demeanor replaced by an endearing awkwardness. His admission hadn't scared me; if anything, it had drawn me closer to him, deepening the connection I felt towards him.
"I'm not freaked out, Harry," I reassured him, my hand finding his. "I'm glad you shared your feelings with me." His sigh of relief was audible in the quiet of the night, a soft chuckle escaping him as he shook his head, still unbelieving of his own boldness.
Our goodbye was prolonged, neither of us eager to part ways. Pressed against the door of my apartment, our kisses grew more fervent, more desperate, as if trying to communicate all the words left unsaid. Harry's lips were insistent against mine, each kiss a promise, a plea for more.
The heat between us built, and for a moment, I considered pulling him inside, to explore the depth of this newfound intimacy, but I restrained myself. When he finally pulled away, his forehead rested against mine, his breath mingling with mine. "Goodnight, Bella," he whispered, his voice heavy with emotion. "See you tomorrow?"
"Tomorrow," I agreed, my heart full, my mind racing with the possibilities that lay ahead.
As he walked away, I stood at my door, watching him go, feeling a mix of joy and apprehension. Harry had laid his heart on the line, and now it was up to me to decide what to do with mine. The future seemed open, inviting, but also daunting.
I closed my door, leaning back against it, a smile curving my lips. Harry had changed everything with three little words. And as I replayed our kisses in my mind, feeling the echo of his lips on mine, I realized that maybe, just maybe, I was closer to saying those words back to him than I thought.

"No way, he actually said 'I love you'?" Lisa's voice was a blend of disbelief and excitement. "I mean, Harry of all people, confessing like that?"
"Yes, Lisa, exactly those words. It was...unexpected," I replied, still feeling the weight of the moment. "Seeing Harry open up, sharing his feelings so candidly—it was a side of him I'd never seen. And honestly, it made me incredibly happy, knowing he feels that way about me."
Lisa leaned in, her curiosity piqued. "So, do you feel that way about him?".
I paused, searching for the truth within myself. "I don't know. All I can say is that what I feel for Harry is unlike anything I've ever experienced. Even with my ex, the emotions weren't as intense. It's confusing because, despite all the times I told myself I disliked him, deep down, I knew it wasn't true. I've been drawn to him for so long, and this feeling, this constant pull towards him, it hasn't faded. It's only grown stronger."
I sighed, the realization settling in. "I might not be there yet, but I'm on the verge. If I'm not already in love with Harry, I know I'm about to be. And fast."
"So, where do you see this going? After such a whirlwind of a date, I'm surprised you two didn't end up...well, you know," Lisa prodded, her curiosity barely contained. "With all that undeniable chemistry, it must have been hard to resist."
