Quick A/N: Your animal type is gonna be no bigger than a human. It's just really hard and awkward to write how the animal gets through doors and stuff. (Sorry to the big animals, maybe just make it so it's a smaller version of it?)

Also sorry if there are dog/wolf-like qualities there, I'm writing in the perspective of my OC 💀

"Y-you're... Dead!... You're a... a ghost!" They yelped in unison.

"Heh... It's... It's a long story..." I chuckled nervously.

The twins looked at me and backed away a little. I took a step forward and they took a step back.

"No, please... I promise I won't do anything... It's not like I can anyways..." I said, reaching a paw/wing/foot/talon out to reach towards them, before retracting it.

"How do we know that you won't just trick us? How do we know that you won't take our souls??" Star asked while hiding behind Dreads.

"What? I can't take your souls. And I'm not tricking you! I need help." I said. The boys gave each other an unsure look.

"But... How do we know you're not evil?" Dreads asked. I tilted my head a little.

"I'm not evil—"

"You are! Your eyes and that big wound on your chest!" Star said while pointing.

"Oh..." Was all I could say.

"See! You are evil!" Star yelped.

"I'm not! This isn't what I look like! It's because I have to stay in the dark forest so I'm not just a spirit floating around for the rest of my afterlife! I don't have a choice!" I said, a few tears forming in my eyes. The boys thought for a second.

"Why should we believe you?" Dreads asked.

"Because... Because you have no choice..." I said, my ears dropping a little.

"What's that supposed to mean? Did you curse us or something!?" Star screeched.

"What, no! I can't even do that! I mean you guys are connected to me, and whether you like it or not, you need to help me!" I said. They backed away a little more.

"You could be a demon! You could be a force of evil— you could kill us for all we know!" Dreads said.

"I can't do that, hardly anyone can! Only overlords and some odd ones can do that. You guys don't see it, but you have a shield around you both that protects you from spirits— both good and evil." I explained.

The boys looked at each other, unsure about it. I took a few step forward to show them. They looked at me as I got stopped by the invisible barrier between me and them. They seemed to believe me now.

"What about out of here?" Star asked. I tilted my head at him.

"Out of here I can be close to you because I cannot do anything to anyone. I'm hardly even existent outside of here." I said. The boys looked at each other like they were having a silent conversation. Then they looked at me.

"Well I guess." Dreads said.

"You'll help me?" I asked, my tail wagging a little.

"Yes, but what do we get?" The twins asked.
