Brookelyn's view
I was sitting on my bed talking to Cal when all of a sudden my door swung open. It was Ben. He was red in the face and breathing very heavily.
"Ben. What's wrong?Are you ok?”
“Yeah I'm fine.Are you ok?” he said breathing really heavily as if he was gonna pass out. He looked me dead in the eyes and said “Brookie you know you can tell me anything? What’s wrong?And most importantly why is cal in your room with the door closed”
“Omg dad actually stop. We're just friends”
I don't know why but when he said that it felt as if my heart shattered into a million pieces.
“Exactly, anyway I'm fine. Why the all of a sudden urge to check on me though”
“I… I had a calling that you weren't ok. I just wanted to make sure you were fine. Anyway we all know you and cal are meant to be together so imma leave you two love birds but with the door open byeeeeeee” and with that he left with the door open of course. Now it was just me and Cal, after a while we decided to go downstairs and play monopoly with the others. We played for a good 2 hours, before my phone started buzzing.
“Hello? Who is this?”
“Someone who will change for you life altogether”
“I want a name please”
“Meet me at the back of the alleyway, don't be late and tell no one” then the call ended.
“Ok then. Well guys i'm gonna go bed early im a bit tired”
“That's such a lie,what's wrong? '' Olive said recently. She seems more angry and more stressed. I hate having to lie to her.
“Nothings wrong, I promise I'm just tired.” Hoping she and the others would buy it, I said my good nights and went up the stairs and got ready. Just as I was about to open the window, I heard a knock on the door and quickly jumped in bed.
“Come in!” I yelled loud enough so the person would hear me.
When the door opens I realise it's just jared.
“Oh don't worry just you”
“Yeah don't worry it's just me”
“ So what are you doing here?”
“ well saw that you were about to go through your window instead of going to bed like you told the others. Woah busted” he said very Sarcastically.
“ So who are you gonna tell Zeke? Michaela? Ben?”
“None unless you don't tell me where you're going”
“just going to meet some friends”
“ what friends”
“the… neighbours. heard their pretty cool”
“I know you're lying.I can tell by the look of your face Plus im a officer so I kind of know everything so where are you actually going”
“don't worry no where dangerous”
“Promise?”
“Promise”
“ be back by 10”
“ okay dad whatever”
Just as I was about to climb back through the window.
Jared said “you know they arent downstairs anymore they all decide to go to bed as well”
“Okay, thank you”.
I hugged him goodbye. I hope he keeps his promise and won't tell anyone now it's time to go on my little adventure or soon to be doomed fate.
