Aadrika's POV:
Vikrant Bhai drove me home after work, but I was quiet, still upset about him introducing Avinash as my boss and scolding me in front of him.
As the car came to a stop, I practically leaped out, slamming the door behind me. I stormed into my room, tossing my identity card and documents onto the desk before collapsing onto my bed. With a frustrated scream, I buried my face in the pillow.
"Avinashh!!! To hell with you!"
How could he think he can order me around? How could he treat me like that, as if I'm worthless? As if he can walk all over me again and I'll allow it this time? It's all Vikrant bhai's fault. If not for him, I would have never taken orders from Avinash.
Trying to regain my composure, I stood up and decided to take a cold shower. But as the cold water ran over me, memories started to resurface. Those memories which I had forgotten or locked away back in the corner of my heart.
Flashback:
Author's POV:
Aadrika first met Avinash on a family trip to Dubai when she was sixteen. Her father, Rana Vikram, had a business meeting, and his advisor cum college friend Bharat (Avinash and Meera's father), suggested bringing their families along. Despite usually keeping their personal and business lives separate to protect their high-profile identities, he thought it was time for their families to meet once as they were such good friends but their family had never met. So except Meera, everyone went to the trip.
From the moment they met, Avinash and Vikrant hit it off. They spent the entire trip together playing football, discussing current affairs, regional problems of Jodhpur and exploring new landscape. They became fast friends quickly.
For Aadrika, it was a "love at first sight" with Avinash. She watched him from a distance, her heart fluttering every time Avinash was near. She admired his confident demeanor, the way his laughter filled the room, and how his presence made everything seem more vibrant.
During the trip, Aadrika found herself daydreaming about Avinash. She cherished every stolen glance, every casual interaction. Her heart raced whenever their eyes met, and she blushed when he spoke to her. Her feelings were innocent, a sweet sixteen crush that made her smile and feel giddy. Aadrika didn't even realise when the the trip ended and her time with Avinash came to an end.
Aadrika returned to her regular life, convinced that her feelings for Avinash would fade with time. She threw herself into school and friends, but the memory of Avinash lingered in her mind, a constant reminder of those magical days in Dubai.
Three years later, fate brought them together again. Aadrika started college in London, where Avinash and Vikrant were already in their final year. The two boys shared an apartment near campus, and Aadrika often visited, pretending to be there to meet her brother but hoping to see Avinash. Soon these three started spending most of their free time together. Weekends were spent playing board games, cooking together, and enjoying each other's company.
Aadrika, Vikrant, and Avinash had the time of their lives in London. They threw house parties, acted a little reckless, and relished their freedom. These carefree days were filled with laughter and unforgettable memories, strengthening the bond between Aadrika and Avinash.
But Vikrant spent considerable time on football grounds as well since he was on college's football team. Avinash often filled his shoe by taking care of Aadrika and spending time with her. He would drive her around, help her in her studies, watch movies with her and protect her from unwanted attention from creepy boys of their college. Because of him, no one dared to asked her out throughout her first year.
