Porsche F1 Entered 2024 with a Bang!
After the surprise announcement that Porsche is joining the 2024 lineup in Formula One, the world was left in shock. Nobody within the F1 community knew that there was a new team joining the grid for the upcoming season. When the FIA announced last 2023 season that 2024 has a big announcement waiting for them, people expected it to be a new Grand Prix location. We asked a couple of people within the grid about their opinion about this announcement, this was what they have to say:
"It was a shock, honestly. You would expect with this big of an announcement, there would be rumors all around the paddock. But, no. Genuinely, nobody knew." -Lando Norris, Driver of McLaren F1
"It's a shock, for sure. But, an impact that big should also reflect with their performance within the season. Who knows, might be all talk but no game. Can't wait for them to change that opinion, hopefully they can." -Christian Horner, Team Principal of Redbull Racing
"Honestly, I couldn't wait what they have in store for us. They just joined the grid but they already are doing great changes within the system. I also can't wait to meet the drivers. It's nice to see new faces in the grid." -Lewis Hamilton, Driver of Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team
Just like them, people's reaction are also divided. But we can't say how they will perform this 2024 season when we haven't seen how they work as a team. Though, as the eyes around the world watches their moves, Porsche F1 should be ready to prove that they deserve the spot.
