“How's your wound, Whitepaw?” Sootberry asked.

“It's aching but I can still walk properly.” Whitepaw responded.

“That's good, but if it gets too painful tell me.” Slugberry told her.

As Slugberry and Whitepaw were about to leave to go hunting, Spiderstar called them to his den.

“Hello Spiderstar.” Both of them mewed

“Hello young Whitepaw and Slugberry, now the reason I called you in here is because I have a mission for you both and Salmonear and his apprentice Daffodilpaw.” Spiderstar spoke with wisdom. “However, you will be away from The Forest for a few moons, I would understand why you wouldn't want to go.” Spiderstar warned.

“It's fine Spiderstar, Me and Salmonear are good fighters and hunters, we will be able to take the mission on.” Slugberry muttered respectfully.

Salmonear and Daffodilpaw then entered Spiderstars den.

“We've already heard this and we've agreed to it, so is it decided?” Salmonear mewed with arrogance.

“Yeah, it is.” Slugberry spoke.

“Good, go to Sootberry for traveling herbs.” Spiderstar interrupted all their thoughts.

The squad padded over to Sootberrys den for Traveling herbs.

“Here's the herbs. And have a safe journey, I don't want any dead apprentices.” Sootberry warned.

The squad gulped down their herbs and padded to the entrance of camp.

“Have a safe journey, Whitepaw.” Goldenbrair shrieked with sadness.

“I'll be back, mother.” Whitepaw responded gently.

“Spiderstar, who'll be the deputy while Salmonear is away?” Cootwhisker asked loudly.

“You.” Spiderstar snapped back.

“Oh, uhm.. okay?” Cootwhisker shifted uncomfortably.

“I'm going back to my den.” Spiderstar Once again snapped.

Salmonear glanced at Sootberry with a slight fear in his eyes from the past. After all of the clan said goodbye to the squad they left to go to the place Spiderstar told them about. The Old Forest.
