Mental Snap

Not wanting to dealing with anyone, Izuku took the underpass to his home. As he went under the bridge he didn't notice the sludge on the wall until it sprang to life and tried taking Izuku's body.

Sludge Villain: Haha, what a nice meat shield!

Izuku tried to run, only for it to capture him and try to force his way in.

Sludge Villain: Don't worry kid, I'm only taking control over your body, it'll only 20 seconds, you're my hero you know.

Izuku could feel his conscious beginning to fade. Suddenly, the manhole cover next to them shot up and out popped All Might

All Might: NEVER FEAR!! HELP HAD ARRIVED! BECAUSE I AM HERE! TEXAS SMASH!!!

(Few Minutes Later)

Izuku woke up to All Might lightly slapping his face.

All Might: YOUNG MAN, ARE YOU ALRIGHT?

Izuku: A-A-A-ALLL MIIIGHT!!!!

All Might: YOU'VE GOT THAT RIGHT, KID!! HAHA SORRY TO GET YOU CAUGHT UP IN MY HEROIC DUTY YOUNG ONE! I SHOULD HAVE CAUGHT THAT PESKY VILLAIN SOONER! NOW ALL THAT IS LEFT IS TO RETURN HIM TO THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES!

All Might displayed the Sludge Villain, who was now contained in a soda bottle. Izuku's eyes widened in recognition trying to find his notebook only to have it presented to him by the hero.

All Might: LOOKING FOR THIS?

Out in front of the boy was his notebook. Quite the good read it was to the hero. The boy held a good eye for strategy and quirk analysis. Nighteye would love to meet the boy. Izuku opened the book to find All Might's signature on it.

Izuku: Thank you, All Might.

All Might: NO NEED TO THANK ME! I'M ALWAYS HAPPY TO HELP A FAN! NOW IF YOU'LL EXCUSE ME, I HAVE TO TAKE THIS VILLAIN TO THE POLICE!

Izuku: All Might, wait!

All-Might paused, he turned around and looked at the boy, confused. Izuku was shaking. He had held onto his dream of being a hero for so long. Endured all of the pain and suffering that came with it just so he can help people. All-Might's been his idol since he can remember. The smile on the man's face on his debut video will be imbedded into Izuku's heart forever.

Izuku wanted to know if someone with a villainous quirk could make it as a hero. He knew how ridiculous it sounded. Everyone told him that someone with a villain's quirk couldn't be a hero. But he wanted to hear one person, just one, to tell him that he could be a hero. It would make his world if that one person, was All-Might. But, what if All-Might said no.

That aspect alone would be enough to break Izuku. The one man that kept him going despite what everyone else was doing to him. How would Izuku be able to bear it? He doesn't know himself. He tightened his body and clenched his fist, squeezing his eyes shut. He forced his mouth to, to ask the question that he's wanted to ask All-Might his entire life.

Izuku: I just wanted to know, can someone without a quirk be a hero? Can I make people smile like you?

 The question caught All Might off guard. It caught the man inside All Might, Toshinori Yagi, even more off guard. Maybe it was because the question hit so close to home for him, having formerly been quirkless himself. He thought about what answer to give the boy.

His immediate answer was no. But he stopped himself. He still had time in his hero form. He owed it to the kid to give him a straight answer. With support items yes. Hell his sidekick that he was with for years didn't have a combat quirk. Only one that allowed him to see a couple minutes into the future. Other than that he trained his body to reasonably keep up with magic.
