After a few moments we heard the door knob turning "Is someone there?" I said, "Cass is that you?" "James?'' I cried, "Yes it's me, are you okay? I've been worried sick I couldn't find you, we thought you left." "No, I'm here, can you please get us out?" "Us?" he said, sounding a bit confused. "Yeah," Luke replied," It's me, Luke ''. There was silence on the other end. "The door is jammed, we are going to have to break the lock, maintenance should be here soon so don't worry we will have you out soon."

Finally, I I'll be free from this closet, not just that I'd finally be free from this past that's been holding me back and of course from Luke. I was tired mentally and physically, I just wanted to go home. I could hear the jiggling of the door and after a second the knob on our end fell. They pulled it but it did't open, they then proceeded to hammer the the side of ther door, it then bent. I saw the door shake and I pushed, I pushed the door and ran to hug James. I ran so fast I had to stop myself from tripping on my dress. He held me tight.
"Cass you look pale how long have you been in there?"
"I don't know, what day is it?"
He started to go pale himself. "It's Sunday afternoon. It's like what may be 3 pm?"
WE looked at his watch, 2:45 it read.
"You have been in there for 48 hours."
"Yeah it seems so," I said. Luke was trying to pass by us but I turned around
"Hey, no hard feeling okay" He nodded
"Before you go, I want you to know that I hope one day you find someone that loves you, and cares for you." I took a breath "You and I we just cant, I'm sorry"
He nodded and looked down, he was silent for a secound and replied
"I understand"

James walked me back to his office and made me have a seat he reached into his drawer and pulled out my phone. I thought you had lost it so I kept it I also noticed you left the jacket, I didn't realize you had gone missing." He stayed silent "I'm so sorry Cass after everything that I said to you I was just trying to give you space I never thought you would end up stuck in a supply closet… I should have looked for you."
"James, it's okay. I'm fine now look I'm here okay, and I'm fine nothing happened. I'm safe and well. So please don't blame yourself."He sat in his chair and buried his head in his hands.
"I feel so terrible, this is my Hotel, this shouldn't have happened in the first place."
I sighed, "All you can do is make sure it doesn't happen again. Why was it so empty there to begin with?"
James looked at me "We were removing some things to start remodeling, we had to let go of some staff due to a budget cut so we didn't finish. If Sarah hadn't gone there to check up on some things I don't know how much longer you would have been there." I could see he was beating himself up over it, I stayed quiet for a moment and walked over to him "Jay can we talk about the other day?"
"Cass you don't have to right now. I know you and Luke are where in there and if you want more time please take it, don't feel like you owe me an explanation."
"Jay it's not that, it's just I finally made a choice." "Oh, okay" his shoulder stiffened as if getting ready for bad news.
"I decided Jay that I want to give us a try."
"Cass I understand if… wait, wait did I just hear you correctly?"
He jumped off his chair and almost lost his balance. "Are you serious! Right now!" He ran to me and gave me a hug, his eyes started to tear, "I promise I'll do my best to make you happy. I swear I'll be the best boyfriend ever. I just don't-"
"Okay Jay, first please calm down a bit. I know you're excited and I'm glad that it made you so happy but I just want you to be patient with me. I'm in a better place now and I'm willing to give it a try."
He nodded as I talked and I took a pause and sighed "I don't mean to kill the mood but I'm pretty hungry." James turned over to see the time,
"Oh no we can't have that now can we." He gave me a cute wink and I pulled his arm, leaned forward, and kissed him on the cheek. "Thank you," I whisper.
