"Room ki cheezein yaha waha kiyu bikhri pari hain aise?"Shrutika asked Shreyas after entering their room and he said,"meri ek cheez sahi jageh par nahi hain. Dhundna toh parega hi na. Dheere dheere dhundu kya? I am not a snail."
"I didn't even say you are. Humesha gussa karne ke ilawa kuch aata bhi hain tumhe?"Shrutika said while picking up the things and arranging them back in their places, one by one.
"Toh kya karu? Gussa karne layak hi hogayi hain life. Mujhe kuch accha nahi lag raha hain."
"I know. Par gussa karne se bhi toh kuch change nahi hoga na!"she said and picked up his wallet and he took it from her hand saying,"yahi chahiye tha. Thanks."
Shrutika frowned and said,"table ke side pe para huya tha. Ekbar dekh toh lete."
"Haan kaash sab kuch dekh leta time pe toh yeh din nahi dekhna parta."
Shrutika sighed and continued doing her work while he asked,"voh Shushi, tum banati thi na? Jab bhi Ava keheti thi."
"Haan. Usey khaana bana-na pasand nahi tha."
"Toh kabhi bataya kiyu nahi mujhe? Itni bewakoof kiyu ho tum?"
"Dekho main kya karti tumhe batakar? Mujhe lagta tha ki usey tumsey bohot pyaar hain isiliye main help kar deti thi."
"Pyaar...Huh!..Pyaar,"Shreyas murmured and chuckled bitterly.
"Lijiye maine aapke cheezein ek jagah pe arrange karke rakh di hain. Abb dhund paayenge easily."
"Mujhe cheezein dhundne ki aadat nahi hain. Haathon ke paas chahiye hota hain sab kuch,"he said with a frown and sat on the bed.
"Bohot hi buri aadat hain yeh,"she said while keeping the things and going to the closet room, carrying the jewelry box of the ancestral necklace which she was wearing.
She opened it and kept it inside the box while Shreyas said,"ek baat batao, agar tumhari behen laut aati toh tum sachmein apna position chhor dete?"
"Position? Kaunsi position? Kaisi position?"
"Meri wife honeh ka position, aur kya?"
"Duniya nahi jaanti yeh baat. Aur vaise bhi, yeh position mere liye ek bojh hain, koi privilege nahi."
"You mean, Dhanrajgirs ki bahu banna isn't a privilege for you?"

Shreyas sighed and said,"Kartik bada lucky hain. Kamsey kam usney jissey pyaar kiya usey uski kadar toh hain. Kabhi dhokha nahi khaaya usney jaaney se pehele. Aur yaha main! Zindegi ki akhri din bhi shayad tumhare behen se mila dhokha mujhe yaad ayega."
"Dil chhota matt karo itna. Ava kisi aur ke saath nahi gayi hain. Apne career ke liye gayi hain. At least legally toh married ho tumlog."
"Agar usey jaana hi tha toh pehele hi chali jaati. Aaj agar tum mandap par nahi baithti toh? Humare reputation ke baarein mein ekbaar bhi nahi socha usney. Isiliye apni behen ki tarafdaari karna bandh karo tum,"he said before walking into the closet room and shutting the door.
