Chapter 3 | Racing To Love

"Are you insane?! Val, that was risky," Ray quietly exclaimed to her phone. She had just left Almond and her sister to talk amongst themselves. Val had just shared that she had gone to a restricted area that even The Gentlemen can't access, claimed by Jin. "What do we need to do? How do you unlock the door?" She asked.

"It's locked with a fingerprint or a number pin," Val shared. "Yeah, we have more chances with a fingerprint," Ray bit her nail. "Here's the plan, I'll send you a picture of Pob's thumb to enhance the features and then send it to my mom," Val explained. "Won't I need my laptop to enhance it?" Ray questioned. "Oh, right. We haven't explained this to you yet," Val remembered.

"Chun and I stole your phone and got Alex to upgrade your phone," Val shared. "You forced him to do some shit on my phone?!" Ray looked in panic. "Hey, you two ended things nicely. You know he wouldn't add some bad stuff on there," Val reassured. "Still that's just..." Ray sighed. "Play around with the enhanced features on there, you'll get the hang of it," Val shared.

"It's mostly enhancing pictures and scanning. Any updates about what you learned from Almond?" She asked. "Not much, besides staying on the farm for the entirety of their lives. Almond concerningly has so many novels about political and social customs," she shared, having Almond list down what books he had. "Interesting," Val comments.

"We talked and we'll be switching partners for the next game, if ever I still win. I'll be asking the other Gentlemen their time here," Ray shared. "That's good. Can't have you distracted by your future man!" Ray rolled her eyes upon hearing the teasing tone in her friend's voice. "Okay, I'll be going now. Be sure to send that picture before the games start," she shared.

"Alright. Good night, Ray."

"Good night, Val."

She ended the call and got back to the two. "Sorry for the long wait," Ray smiled as she got back to Almond's side, noticing he had made dessert. "No worries!" Day smiled and giggled upon getting her stomach full. "Here, try some," Almond spoonfed her, and she hummed. "It's so tasty...! You're incredible," Ray pointed out.

"Thank you," he smiled as he wiped her cheek. She watched as he licked off the excess food in his thumb and she bit her lips inwards once again. "Well," Ray clapped, "It's getting late. We should get to bed," she pointed out. "Alright," Day got off the chair. "I'll go clean up," Ray grabbed the cutlery. "I'll help," Almond grabbed the pan.

Day smirked and wiggled her eyebrows at her sister. "Don't keep her up too late," Day waved them goodnight and left. Ray sighed in embarrassment as Almond chuckled. "She hasn't done that ever since the city," she rolled her eyes as she placed the dishes in her sink. "Have you dated before?" He asked as he helped her wash.

"A few girls." And one guy dressed up as a girl. "But it didn't end well or we were good as friends instead,"  Ray shared. "Oh, so you're telling me," he leaned back on the sink and she looked at him, "You have more experience?" He smirked at her.

"As a matter of fact, I do," she leaned on the sink with one arm and smirked at him back as she asked, "Does that intimidate you?"

"Not at all," he got closer to her, "I like myself an experienced woman," he looked at her straight in the eyes. Despite having experience, she couldn't help but feel weak in the knees with his gaze upon her. She hadn't felt this since her first girlfriend. "I will say that I haven't handled a man like you," she shared. Who was much taller and had the same interests as her.

"I'll be sure to be gentle with you," he caressed her chin and she could feel her heart burst. He leaned forward and turned off the faucet. "Let's get you to bed," he whispered in her ear. "YEap!" Her voice cracked and he chuckled at how cute she was. And a tease. She has never been teased before. "Come on," he placed the plate on the rack and accompanied her to her sister's room.
