Equal pain

it's been 2 months since that night and as days went on..nothing changed.. Every night Arjun spent time with Devika and then slowly left without uttering a single word.

She was laying on the sofa caressing her her hair while Komal was arranging her stuff

"Komal, is there any sign of me getting pregnant yet..I mean I have spend countless night's with Aarya Arjun now" Komal froze as she heard her and she looked up at her before she spoke

"No, there is no sign yet.but you gotta give it time..it takes time sometimes" Komal said trying to calm her down

Devika just nodded before sighing deeply as she spoke

"he hasn't once spent time with me without doing "that" like a normal couple. And he still haven't show me any hint of love whatsoever"

Komal just sat there listening to her... feeling pity for her as she tried to console her a bit

"I know, but maybe it just taking time to get pregnant and about Rana sa, maybe he just needs more time"

Devika laughed humourlessly as she heard her

"More time, more time Komal. It's been 2 months since he started spending time with me every day and yet he doesn't even hold me or kiss me in a loving way."

saying this she stood up and walked outside

As she began walking to see Arjun.. She suddenly felt nauseous as she suddenly got dizzy and she held the nearby pillar for support as she took a shaky breath

she slowly began walking again as she reached Arjun's study...she knocked on the door and waited for a few seconds for Arjun to response and say to come inside

Arjun was sitting in his chair with his back to the door. He was looking through some documents when he heard a knock on the door..he turned back and spoke

"come inside"

As she felt relief hearing he told her to come inside. She opened the door and walked in as she closed the door behind her before walking to his desk where he was sitting

as she got near his desk where he was sitting, suddenly she felt more nauseous. She held on his desk for support as she spoke

"I need to talk to you"

Arjun looked up at her as he heard her voice and saw her leaning on his desk. He just looked at her before he spoke as he continued working on the document.

"What is it"

She gripped the desk edge as she took a shaky breath before she spoke

"Aarya, I can't take this anymore, I can't take you being cold towards me...it's like our marriage is just been a business transaction for you...you don't love me right?"

Arjun was silent for a moment, as he put the paper on the desk he looked at her..he knew that this moment gonna come sooner or later

"We have talked about this where you did a deal that you will not expect anything else from me other than "That" " He spoke and he spoke in a monotone voice.

She clenched her fists as she heard him speaking.. she can't take this anymore. She can't take him being so emotionless towards her anymore

" I don't want our marriage to be like this, it's like you just come to fulfill your responsibility towards me...and nothing else. I don't want this..I want some love and affection from my husband..not just some business transaction."

Arjun looked at her for a moment, before he spoke

"What do you want me to do Devika...I can never love you like you want. I can only give you the bare minimum that is necessary. That is all I can give you, I told you that before and don't complain now or expect something else And I also haven't even force myself on you like other's king."
