Jake's lost twin

The escape

Mei was 23 when the war ended. Jake left her alone, with no one by her side. She was no longer the same person, she was darker and didn't smile as much as before, she was known as the most beautiful and smiley creature, but she changed. With the "loss" of Jake, her twin brother, she no longer felt complete, but she took courage and continued to live.
When Quaritch recovered, at first, everything went well, Mei became an avatar and both Quiritch and the other soldiers became na'vi, but, as time passed, the more Quaritch vented the hatred he had for Jake against his twin. Mei, having no fault of why Jake had left, tries to defend herself but it was never enough, the colonel took over and began to hurt her.
She was defenseless and not knowing how to escape or defend herself, she remained under his control for approximately 7 years.

Mei pov
I was tired, I couldn't take it anymore, every day it was always the same story. I wanted to get away from here, into the open air, all these technologies had ruined me. I have to do something to escape from here.
I began to think, without any conclusion, until I saw from the window where we were. We were above the ocean, a vast expanse of clear blue water, I hadn't seen it for a long time. While I was admiring him, I came up with an idea to escape, and I immediately put it into action.

I successfully managed to escape from room I was locked in. For those who don't know this place well, it might be very difficult to escape but I, who have been here for almost 10 years, knew the streets by heart. As soon as I left the room I started running as hard as I could in the empty and straight corridor, but when the time came to cross another corridor I slowed down, I knew that from then on I would meet the soldiers, so I took a knife and a gun, which I I hid behind the "experiment" tunic I was wearing and began killing them one by one. I hadn't been caught yet but I'm sure they would find out soon. In fact I had to cross a room, the most important in the whole plane, there were definitely some scientists inside but also Quaritch, so I'll have to be careful.
I started running as fast as I could towards the exit, my heart felt like a drum and I could feel drops of sweat dripping from my forehead, I was exhausted from that run and the anxiety that ran through my body but I had to give it my all, if you wanted to leave here I had to be brave and determined, I can do it.
I was one step away from leaving the room until I heard someone shout: "The prisoner has escaped from the cell, she has killed some men and now she is escaping...HERE SHE IS!", with this some soldiers began to attack me and I began to counterattack . I was punching anyone who came into my sight and, being tired of punching and kicking, I took the gun and started shooting.
When I had cleared my way a little, I started running towards the exit again without looking behind me, I pressed a button that said "open" and the door where the soldiers threw themselves out of the plane opened, without hesitation and without looking back. I ran back towards the huge open door.
After less than 8 seconds I was immersed in water.
I was finally free.
