𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞

Chapter 19

In the bathroom Myrtle flies around whimpering. Sereia, Ron and Lockhart walk in.
Myrtle turns around.
Myrtle: Who's there? Oh.
She giggles and smiles.
Myrtle: Hello, Sereia. What do you want?
Sereia: To ask you how you died.
Myrtle: Oh. It was dreadful. It happened right here in this very cubicle.
She points down to the cubicle under her.
Myrtle: I'd hidden because Olive Hornby was teasing me about my classes. I was crying, and then I heard somebody come in.
Sereia looks confused.
Sereia: Who was it, Myrtle?
Myrtle: I don't know. I was distraught!
She slowly flies to them.
Myrtle: But they said something funny, a kind of made-up language. And i realised it was a boy speaking, so I unlocked the door to tell him to go away and...I died.

A few look at the screen sadly.

Sereia: Just like that? How?
Myrtle: I just remember a pair of great, big, yellow eyes...over there by that sink.
She nods and points to a washbasin.
They look at it and Myrtle flies away. Lockhart looks at Ron who still points his wand at him. Sereia goes to the washbasin and looks at it. She touches the stone before turning the water on. No water flows out. She leans down and touches the snake symbol on the tap.
Sereia: This is it.
She steps back.
Sereia: This is it, Ron. I think this is the entrance of the Chamber of Secrets.

"In the girls bathroom?" The girls look disgusted and angry.

They look at it. Ron looks at Sereia.
Ron: Say something. Sereia say something in Paseltongue.
She concentrates while looking at it intensely.
Sereia: ~Hesha-Hassah~

'Open up'

There is a click and the top of the washbasins flies up. They look at it and look back down when the washbasins move apart revealing a large hole. They step back and one washbasin moves down before a grating moves over it. They move closer and look down. Lockhart leans back scared.

They look between the screen and Sereia and Ron shocked. "So it really does exist?" Fudge asks while looking at Sereia. They look at him weirdly as it's on the screen. "Yes"

Lockhart: Excellent, Sereia. Good work. Well, then, I'll just be, uh...
He clears his throat.
Lockhart: There's no need for me to stay.
He tries to run around him but they grab him.
Sereia: Oh, yes, there is.
They push him back and he nearly fall into the hill. He grabs the washbasins. They point their wands at him.
Sereia: You first.
Lockhart: Now, kids, what good will it do?
Ron: Better you than us.
She nods to Ron in agreement.
Lockhart: Uhm. But-
He nods.
Lockhart: Obviously, yes.
He turns around and looks down. He turns his head to them.
Lockhart: Sure you don't want to test it first?
Ron pushes him with his wand and he screams as he falls. There's a crash and the screaming stops.

"RONALD WEASLEY! You can't just push someone into a hole!" Molly screeches making many hold their ears. "He's still alive, Mum."

They step closer and look down.
Lockhart: It's really quite filthy down here.
Sereia: All right. Let's go.
They nod at each other.
Myrtle: Oh, Sereia?
They look at her.
Myrtle: If you die down there, you're welcome to share my toilet.
She giggles. Ron looks at her disgusted while Sereia looks distraught.
Sereia: Ah, thanks, Myrtle.

They look disgusted while a few laugh at Sereia.

Sereia jumps down and Ron jumps after her. They scream as they slide the hole down. At the end of the hole Lockhart swipes the dust from his robes. He looks up when they land in bones. They quickly stand up and point their wands back at him. They look down at the bones.
Ron: Ugh. 
Sereia: Now, remember: Any sign of movement, close your eyes straightaway.
She jumps into a pipe. Ron looks at Lockhart
Ron: Go on.
Lockhart follows her with Ron behind him. They move through the pipes. She looks behind, at them.
Sereia: This way.
They walk into a cavern. Sereia walks around the stones.
Ron: What's this?
Lockhart: It looks like a snake.
Sereia: It's a snakeskin.
Ron: Bloody hell.

They look scared at the length of the snakeskin.

She walks around the snakeskin.
Ron: Whatever she's this must be 60 feet long. Or more.
She kneels beside head of the snakeskin. Lockharts faints. They look at him. Ron looks at Sereia.
Ron: Heart of a lion, this one.
Lockhart grabs Ron wand and jumps up. Sereia stands up.
Lockhart: The adventure ends here, kids. But don't fret.
He points the wand between them.
Lockhart: The world will know our story. How I was too late to save the girl. How you two tragically lost your minds...at the sight of her mangled body.
He points the wand at Sereia
Lockhart: So...You first, Miss Potter. Say goodbye to your memories.
Ron looks at her scared while she looks at Lockhart scared.
Lockhart: •Obliviate!•

"NO!" Sereia looks at them all as if they're stupid. 'I'm sitting right here, knowing everything' she thinks and becomes laughing back in her head, making her roll her eyes.

The wand begins to glow and Lockhart flies back. He slams against the stonewall before falling down. Ron and Sereia look around scared when it begins to rumble. They jumps back when the cave begins to collapse. Sereia lands on the ground and Ron leans against the wall. Ron coughs and walks forwards.
Ron: Sereia.
On the other side Sereia stands up and walks to the rocks.
Sereia: Ron! Ron, are you okay?
Ron: I'm fine.
Lockhart groans and sits up. He looks at Ron.
Lockhart: Hello. Who are you?
Ron: Uhm. Ron Weasley.
Lockhart: Really?
He looks around.
Lockhart: And uh, who am I?
Ron looks to the rocks.
Ron: Lockhart's Memory Charm backfired. He hasn't got a clue who he is.

They laugh.

Sereia looks at them through the rocks.
Lockhart: It's an odd sort of place, isn't it?
He picks up a stone and smiles at Ron.
Lockhart: Do you live here?
Ron takes the stone from him.
Ron: No.
Lockhart: Really?
Ron hits him over the head with the stone and the falls unconscious.

Molly glares at him.

They look at each other.
Ron: What do I do now.
Sereia: You wait here and try and shift some of the rocks so we can get back through. I'll go on and find Ginny.
Ron: Okay.
She walks away from the stones and pulls her wand out when she nears a door with snakes on it. She walks closer.
Sereia: ~Hesha-Hassah~

'Open up'

The snakes contracting when a snake moves around them. The door opens and she enters carefully.
