In the days that followed, (Y/N) and Jack had become very close. Almost everywhere (Y/N) would go, Jack was sure to follow. The only place he hadn't been allowed to go with her, except the bathroom, of coarse, was her room. She wouldn't let anyone in there.

He had been dying to go into her personal abode. He was extremely curious to what she was hiding in there.

One night, Jack's curiosity got the better of him. After everyone had gone to bed, he snuck down the hall to (Y/N)'s bedroom door. He saw that there was a small opening.

He knew it was wrong. He knew he shouldn't be there. He shouldn't even be thinking about looking through the opening. This was her personal place. Her space to be herself. He couldn't help himself.

He peeked in through the small crack, only to see (Y/N) sitting on the edge of her bed, her back facing him, holding an odd looking container full of dark liquid.

As Jack tried to silently push the door open further, he leaned forward to far, making the door push open wide and emanating a loud creaking sound.

(Y/N) dropped her container and turned around, her eyes wide when she saw Jack at her door. She had been certain that she had closed and locked that door.

"(Y-Y/N)! I-I was j-just...walking t-to Sammy's r-room. I-I tripped...a-a-and..." Laughing Jack stuttered, clearly embarrassed. His eyes went wide when he saw her smile.

"You can come on in, Jack. Just please, close the door and lock it." Jack nodded, quickly doing as she asked.

He looked around her room and noticed how dark it was. Everything was either black or a dark red. Her bed sheets were black. Her vanity was black. Her carpet was a dark, blood red. Her walls and ceiling black. All she had for light were a few few dimly lit black and red candles.

As he made his way over to where (Y/N) was sitting, he noticed a small, black refrigerator in the corner. Curious, he walked over to it.

"(Y/N), what's in here?" Jack asked, eyeing the metal object.

"Jack! No! Don't open-" (Y/N) started, but it was too late. Jack was already opening the door. Jack gasped, quickly backing away from the contents.

Containers of pig's blood stacked on top of each other sat on the shelves. Packets of the dark red liquid lined the door. He turned around and stared at (Y/N) in shock.

"(Y-Y/N)?" Jack stuttered.

"Jack, I can explain," (Y/N) began.

"P-Please do."

"J-Jack...The reason for the blood is...I-I'm a..."

"Yes?"

"I'm a vampire, Jack. There, I said it. Now you probably hate me, right?" (Y/N) said, sorrow in her eyes.

Laughing Jack gaped at her. A vampire? He thought those were only myths. He had never heard of an actual vampire.

"A v-vampire?" Jack stuttered.

"Yes, a vampire. I promise you I'm not crazy." (Y/N) rested back against the headboard of her bed, her head hung low. Jack, even though he was still in shock, went over to set beside her.

"I-I don't think you're c-crazy, (Y/N). I just didn't know that v-vampires actually existed."

"Actually, I think I might be the only one left. I've never heard of another one, and I've looked for years."

"How long have you known you were a vampire?"

"Well, I know I've been a vampire my entire life, but I can't actually pinpoint the exact age. It was such a long time ago, I can't really remember."

"Are you really eighteen, or are you older than that?"

"I'm actually not sure how old I really am. Vampires age differently than humans. Our bodies age slower and when we reach a certain age, we stay that way forever. This is how I'm going to look for the rest of eternity. I've been with my adopted parents for eighteen years, so I go by that."

"You know you're adopted? Do you know where your real parents are?" Jack asked, shocked that she actually knew she was adopted.

"Yes, I've always known. They rub it in my face every chance they get. As for my biological parents, they're dead. My parents were not vampires, so I'm still not quite sure how I turned out to be one. They didn't want a freak for a baby, so they put me up for adoption. They died in a huge car crash the same day. A few days later, these people took me in. I've been here ever since. I've only ever left the house to go to the butcher shop for more blood. I promise you that none of it is human blood. I only drink the blood of pigs. I've never drank human's blood. I don't want to hurt anyone."

Jack was astonished. She had put up with so much in her life, from being called a freak to learning that she was a vampire and accepting it. She had even refrained from drinking human blood. She certainly was amazing.

"Does Sammy know that you're a vampire?"

"No, I haven't told him. I'm scared that I'll frighten him." (Y/N) hung her head in sadness. "Actually, you're the only one who knows. I hope that I can trust you with this. I couldn't stand Sammy finding out and never wanting to be around me again."

Jack saw the tears that threatened to spill down her delicate, pale face. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders.

(Y/N) couldn't hold back her tears any longer. She had been through too much in her life. She deserved to have a minute to let the stress and sadness be drawn out of her. She buried her face in Jack's shoulder and cried for the first time in her life.

"I'm sure he wouldn't want to leave you, (Y/N). He loves you," Jack said, watching as she released her built up emotions.

Once she had finished, (Y/N) gazed up into Jack's eyes.

"You know, you're the only and best friend I've ever had. You actually listen to my problems. I don't have to be strong when I'm around you. You make me happy, Jack," (Y/N) said, smiling up at him.

Before Jack knew what was happening, him and (Y/N) were leaning closer towards each other. Once they were close enough, their lips touched.

The kiss was hesitant at first, for Jack had never kissed a woman, and (Y/N) had never kissed a man. As soon as they got more comfortable with the kiss, they became more passionate.

Jack swiped his tongue across her lower lip, silently asking for entrance. She gasped, allowing him the entrance he wanted. He explored every crevice, pressing on the ones that caused her the most pleasure. When the need for air became too much, they separated, staring into each other's eyes adoringly. They both smiled.

Jack pulled the sheets on her bed back and let her crawl under them, him following close behind. They shared another passionate kiss before they both laid down, wrapped in the comfort of the other's arms, a true smile on both of their faces for the first time in both of their lives.
